Great lighter!
Initial review:After using this product for the first week it has been excellent. It looks nice, feels nice, and works perfectly. It arrives completely empty so expect to have to fill it. I purchased a 5.5 oz can of BernzOmatic butane fuel available at The Home Depot for about $5.00 and has a "universal fueling tip" which couples to the lighter perfectly. It lights my cigars very well. Candles too. The lighter is not very large. A little larger and heavier than a regular Bic lighter. Feels nice in the hand. The fuel level indicator is a nice feature.Tips for getting a good fill:Ensure lighter is completely out of fuel. Press and hold the ignite button for a few seconds to ensure that there is no pressure inside. Place the lighter in the freezer for a couple of hours. When ready to fill, remove lighter from freezer and hold upside down. Uncap and invert butane can. Do not shake can. Couple together straight and vertical, press and hold continuously for about 10 seconds. Release. Some liquid butane will drip/spray onto your hand. Do not panic. This is harmless. Do not use lighter for at least 1-2 hours while it is allowed to return to room temperature. Might take a few tries to light, then should light everytime first try. To ensure it lights on the first attempt: Always pull down the igniter switch slowly, over about a 1-2 second period. This gives a chance for a small amount of fuel to come out before the spark occurs.

Great Triple Torch!
Great lighter. I keep buying more, because I tend to give them away to friends. Having owned...perhaps 10-12, I've noticed that the top is fairly easily broken off. This has no effect on the function of the lighter, or my purchases of same. Since the lighter comes with a little brown bag, I use that to store my lidless lighters, and can still toss it into my handbag. (I'm mostly concerned about grit/etc getting into the lighter, and the bag solves the problem.)If I could improve one thing about this lighter, it would be to add a lanyard.

It does what you need it to
It's not sexy, but it does the job. I carry two in my golf bag so I always have a back up/loaner. I've bought at least 6-7 of these over the years and I've never had an issue with a single one of them. They are like cheap gas station sunglasses. They do exactly what you ask of them and if you damage or lose them, you get another. I play a lot of golf, I smoke a lot of cigars, and I get at least a full season on the course with a single torch so completely worth it to me. I give it 5 stars, not for the complex features, but instead because of the simplicity, the functionality, the reliability and the absolute value.Pro Tip: Upon receiving the lighter and upon every subsequent refill, take a pen, a golf tee, anything that will allow you to depress the fill nozzle on the bottom and release any trapped air. This will help ensure the fuel cell is depressurized and you get a complete fill.

Two thumbs down!
I got one of these in July. After a couple weeks, the spring in the latch/ operating lever must have broken, because the lid wouldn't stay latched and the lever would not activate the spark system. I messaged this seller, and they sent another lighter. After about 4 weeks, it incurred the exact same maladies as the first one did. I messaged them again, and the response was that "normal wear and tear is not covered". When did parts breakage from mere normal usage become "normal wear and tear"?? This lighter is junk. Don't buy one, is my advice. Very dissatisfied with this vendor AND his product, although I will add that I have NEVER found a butane lighter that wasn't junk; and, Every lighter I've had, including these 2, was carried in my pocket, used normally, not dropped or abused in any way. R. Hensley UPDATE: I removed one of these lighters from its case, and found one problem right away. The operating lever contacts a stirrup shaped lever inside the unit. This stirrup has a curved arm on each side. It opens the gas supply and strikes the lighting spark. There is a pin the diameter of a paper clip and about 1/4" long that the stirrup pivots on. This pin is not staked or bradded in any way to keep it in place. Over time and use, the pin will work its way out of its holes, the stirrup will cant to one side, and the lighter becomes unusable. I put the pin back in its proper place and carefully bradded the ends. The lighter became usable once again, but after a few cycles, then the spark mechanism stopped working!Seller, if you actually read these reviews, this is a manufacturing defect/ oversight, and NOT "normal wear and tear"!!

Rewriting my review, second lighter was AMAZING
I was never able to fill it more than once. What a waste of money. Worked for a month and then broke. I only used it to light incense once a day in my room.Edit: I'm rewriting this review because I ordered a second one and, honestly, it's the BEST lighter I've ever used. I've had it for years, the tank lasts long the triple flames all still work and it is 100% flawless, classy and effective. I LOVE THIS LIGHTER.PS don't smoke guys. It's terrible for you. I quit 4 years ago and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Lighters are great tools for creating controlled fires for a variety of situations, and none of them should be for a cigarette.
