Fantastic quality grain free product at good price
I've done hours and hours of homework on high quality, grain-free dog foods. From product analysis, kcal analysis, ingredients, customer reviews, professional reviews, company recalls - all of it... I have become a mini-expert in the field.I was pushed into becoming an expert because my yellow Lab kept having seizures and I couldn't figure out the source. I finally learned it was her food, which was the most expensive store bought brand my local Sams Warehouse carries. I thought I was giving her the best, it looked fresh and rich, but it turns out it was just absolutely terrible food. My black Lab also had terrible skin allergies, to the point where I would get a small rash on my skin if he laid next to me on the couch for more than 5 minutes at a time. I had no clue it was because of the food. But it was!Since having that epiphany and learning so much about dog food, I've always made sure to feed them the highest quality grain free food I can buy. This Taste of the Wild (TOTW) fits the bill very nicely, and they love it. Since switching to a grain free diet, the yellow lab has not had any more seizures in over a year, and the black lab has the silkiest coat you've ever seen and his skin allergies are completely gone. They are on 2/3rds dry and 1/3rd wet combination. Contrary to what I had previously been raised to believe, a wet diet is not bad for dogs but in fact is superior! I use the combination to save money while providing them the best I can. Before deciding on TOTW, I had also tried Blue Buffalo, Wellness Core, and Orijen. Briefly: they are all good foods, but my labs were happiest on TOTW and my wallet is also happiest on TOTW. I also believe TOTW has a better formulation for them and their life style (some of the products, like Orijen, are simply too rich for the average household dog, despite being made of the best ingredients available).Enter TOTW. The dry food is dark and rich, with no sign of crumbling. The kibble is a good average size. The wet food has nice chunks of meat and the right amount of gravy. I use the wet food as a topper to mix the 2/3rd dry and 1/3rd wet together for their meals. I use one whole can of wet per meal with my pack, which is convinient so I don't have to store it in the refrigerator - btw, never store canned dog food in the fridge in the original aluminum container!I still wish I could find a less expensive product with the same quality, but in the mean time, TOTW is the best choice for my pack.

Peaches loves taste of the wild
Just wished the bag zipped closed?Peaches loves" taste of the wild "(wetlands) she is allergic to a lot of ingredients we had her on" OC Raw" which she absolutely loved however raw food limits travel because you have to keep the food Frozen or refrigerated and you do need to be very careful with the bacteria, and the temperature raw dog food. Now, "Taste of the Wild" we were very fortunate to find this dog food with ingredients that are extremely Limited which is good because she is allergic to a lot of additives and Grains she likes the food we also use it for training incentives. Peaches is a year old she has Addison's disease so we have to be very careful with her diet, and medications.

Good stuff
I have a dog that can’t seem to eat grains and this taste of the wild grain free pacific stream works really well for my dog! I have other dogs that eat it and love it as well! It smells great to my dogs and the ingredients are good and trusted. A good price also compared to other foods out there.

Good Canned Dog Food
PRO: First ingredients are named meat products, grainless, primarily good quality ingredientsCON: Some mixed quality ingredients. It does include some fruit/vegetables in the minor ingredients further down on the list and has some probiotics. It appears to contain a reasonable amount of meat and mainly good quality ingredients. The fact that it is grain free is really one of the best things about it because grains are not a natural food source for dogs.It costs about $130 a month to feed my dog (small, about 60-70lbs, 9 yr old german shepherd, light exercise,) with this dog food (about $4.33 a day, she needs two cans,) but its so worth it because she is picky and has lots of allergies and this is one of the only foods that she likes and is grain-free!I also feed her some of their "High Prairie Canine Formula" dry food if she is still hungry.I changed her diet to mainly the canned food because she was refusing to eat dry food by itself (can you blame her? lol)So in total it costs about $157 a month (or $5.25 a day) for her food, not bad for a grain-free allergy doggy!

The dog food is really good. My dog likes it and it good for his health. But the United States Postal System is probably the worst delivery system in America.

Keeping my dog well-nourished
What I thought was a routine respiratory infection turned out to be...well, a respiratory infection...but also cancer, but this food has kept my dog eating despite feeling crummy and his mouth hurting a bit. He's turned his nose up at kibble and anything else requiring much chewing (again, ouchy mouth), but gobbles this down. He's also having some trouble drinking with the tumor in his mouth, and the moisture content has kept him well-hydrated even while he can only get down a few extra ounces of water a day. The vet and veterinary oncologist and veterinary radiation oncologist (yeah...) are all really happy with his health outside of the cancer, and I credit a portion of that to keeping him eating a high-quality food. While I have gotten a few dented cans (just a few out of the 84 I've received from Amazon so far), my doorbell camera says that's likely a shipping issue. I get not wanting to make a ton of trips from the truck, but the drivers have dropped every box *hard,* often multiple times, between the truck and my door (only 16' from the street). I've never had one so dented the seal was compromised, and it's always been the outer cans in the "flat." I take them out of the wrapped box and store them in a cabinet, so I'd know immediately if one was leaking.
