It is very sharp. Watch your fingers! My husband likes this tool. I am not as fond of it. I have the vegetable peeler, and absolutely love it, so maybe I will get use to this tool. It is well made. I just happen to like a good grater or mandolin better. My husband prefers this to a mandolin.

THEY ARE SHARP - be careful when you use them, They work great and the handle is comfortable for a medium size hand. I will use this tool for salad garnishing, Cole slaw, cucumbers, but mostly carrots. Tip: Cut from the large end of the vegetable to the small, You get less waste doing it that way.

I am really loving this line. I have both the standard peeler and this one. Easy to use, good grip, sturdy, and sharp hardware. I grew up using my mother's cutco peeler and this equals out to the quality of her cutco one.

Wonderful tool for my kitchen. It feels very comfortable in my hand when I'm working my meals with it. Great price.
