I don't like to wear a ton of makeup but I do like to look put together (a little mineral veil, some blush and a swipe of tinted lip balm). Since I live in Texas, the heat and humidity are just nasty and I really don't want to put a ton of goop on my face. I had been looking at cheek stains for some time and decided to give this a whirl since it was 50% off. I've been using Tints & Sass now for nearly 2 weeks and I LOVE it! A little bit goes a long way - I put some on the pad of my index finger and gently rub just a little onto the apples of my cheeks. It gives me a really natural looking rosy glow - enough that I have some nice color but not so much that it screams "I'm wearing makeup!". If I don't get enough on the first swipe, I put a little more on (the color builds gradually as you do this). The one time I got too much, I just ran my finger under the faucet and diluted the color from my cheek very easily. While this does stay on all day with no need to reapply, it is also surprisingly easy to remove - both from cheeks and from my fingers. :-)I have not tried this as a lip stain - I am so happy with Burt's Bees tinted lip balm that I have no desire to try anything else. However, if you're looking for an easy-to-apply, natural looking cheek stain, look no further. This stuff is great!

as a previous fan of Benetint Cheek and Lip stain, I have been looking for years for something similar to Benentint but that is CRUELTY FREE. I think it is inhumane to have animals suffer just so that I can have rosy cheeks.I love Tints & Sass. This is actualy better than Benentint! It is a thicker liquid than Benetinit so it is not runny like Benetint. And the color payoff is tremendous. When I use it as a cheek tint it pretty much lasts all day assuming that I have not been sweating from exercise or excessive humidity.As a lip tint is will stay the same color as long as you do not lick your lips or eat. However if you do eat or lick you lips it will fade but no completely go away.This is a smaller container tha Benetint but it is cheaper so if you compare it by ounces the price is pretty much the same as Benetint.The most important take away is that this is a CRUELTY FREE lip and cheek tint and a fabulous product with great color pay off!

I teetered between a 3 and 4 star rating.I love the color. It's beautiful and I feel like it works with the color of your lips to enhance them. I love it!!! I have only used it for my lips and probably will not use on cheeks.It's easy enough to apply. A little watery so that takes a little getting used to.. but isn't an issue at all for me.I have to rate it less only because it doesn't last all day. Not even close. It does stain. And after applying and letting it dry, I use a clear gloss or moisturing lip product over it and it's gorgeous. If I eat it drink too much, it wears away. I would say you will need to reapply 3-4 times a day.Doesn't taste good. Not particularly bad, but not good. I will have to see if my husband has an opinion when we kiss.Exfoliate your lips before so that the stain is even otherwise it will wear unevenly.Love the color !!

It took a minute for me to get acclimated to this lip stain, like other reviewers mention it is a bit thin (I wouldn't say runny though). However, once you get past that point and appt it a few times you realize that you can just wipe some of the stain back off into the bottle. Then you can use the applicator to apply this lovely and buildable color. I've used my finger (the redness does come off if you wash your hands) and the applicator (like I said - if you wipe the excess off of the applicator you shouldn't have a problem) but prefer to use the applicator. This is a lovely shade on the lips and cheeks and is a BUILDABLE color. It's a lip stain folks - not a lipstick. I love Elizabeth Mott - I've used the mascara and the eyeshadow primer which is now a staple in my collection (you only need a small amount and the tube lasts forever). Thank you Elizabeth Mott for making your products affordable, long lasting and most importantly, cruelty free. I will continue to support this brand and try other products and cannot recommend them enough!

Would have given it a 5 except for 2 things. One, it does not last as long as it claims to last. It lasts just as long as any other lip tint. Second, it makes my lips feel dry. The color is great though! It makes your lips look as if you were eating an ice cream pop. But not worth this much because it doesn’t actually last long.

Okay y'all. Let's talk lip stains. I love them and wear them whenever possible. I've purchased this twice and then explored some other options that were cheaper and they're just not as good-Here's my rundown on this lip stain:It's got a lovely angled felt-tip applicator that holds just the right amount of product to apply one full coat on top and bottom, though I apply up to three coats depending on how saturated I want the color to be on my lips.It's not drying--to be fair, it isn't moisturizing either, but it certainly doesn't dry out your lips and leave stains in the cracks of your lips.The product doesn't last on the lips as long as some other more concentrated stains (I usually reapply after eating), but it still does a nice job of staying put.The amount of product in one package can last a while--I've had one last over six months (not necessarily being applied every day), and (in my experience) it doesn't spill easily.On my skin, this does go on more pink than red (I've very fair with little natural pink in my lips).Finally, the consistency of the product (it's runny but has the tiniest bit of gel-like quality to it) means it's relatively forgiving if you're a mess like myself and frequently mess up the application.
