Probably the best can opener I've ever used. Super smooth turning action, requiring very little effort to operate. Beautiful addition to my kitchen. Love the bamboo handle and inlay!!!

I broke my old (Farberware) manual can opener and had previously broken a Zyliss one, so I had planned on forgetting manual ones and was looking for an electric can opener. None of them were exactly what I wanted, but the bamboo-handle one caught my eye. So, I thought I'd give a manual one one more try. What a pleasure!! It opened the can precisely, without having to exert a lot of pressure. The "turn screw" is large enough that I don't get my fingernails caught and it's much lighter weight than my previous openers. I think we will have a long and lasting great time together, me and my new can opener.

I purchased this can opener based on the nice wood/steel design and what seem like legit positive reviews. However on its FIRST USE opening a can, the crank broke clean off in my hand like a cheap toy. There is only a tiny little weld between the hand crank (which is hollow) and the pin which connects it to the rest of the tool (see pic). It is cheaply made and will not last. Don't be fooled by the pretty design.

It worked fine for a few weeks. Now it runs up the can top as it tries to work, and tears up the label. The only good thing about it is that it lasted 6 weeks longer than the $3 one bought from Family Dollar.UPDATE- The company has been in touch with me and is going to replace the can opener. I appreciate it, but am still concerned with the quality, since the last one didn't hold up. I will use it as a backup to the electric one I ordered.

Our luck with electric openers has run hot and cold. Seems we were buying a new one every year - and we don't open cans all that often to begin with. Saw this manual opener and decided to give it a shot. Pure heaven the first time I used it to open a can. Smooth action, no struggles at any point in the process. The bamboo feels sleek to the touch and I love the natural, organic look. Figure that somewhere down the line it'll start to 'gum up'. With that in mind, I plan to buy at least one more to have in reserve. Don't want to wind up not being able to find this model when needed.

It's a lovely can opener and worked well the first time I used it. I have owned it 3 weeks, only used it a few times, and took good care of it, not running it through a dishwasher, just rinsing and wiping and air drying, but it has rusted to the point that it is unusable. Luckily I am within the return window.

We were very excited for this product originally. However after about two weeks, the sharp wheel gear had rusted in place. We found this unusual considering we're very diligent with our kitchen tools. We dried it completely if ever washed and yet it rusted in what seemed like over night. We even attempted removing the blade wheel and scrubbing the rust with a wire brush. Makes one think if the product is truly kitchen grade stainless. I'm sad to say we must start our search for another bamboo can opener.

Great product. Sturdy, well made, actually much nicer in person than pictures portrayed. No problems at all with this can opener, and it got here before expected. Works great
