Beautiful Cookbook!
As an avid cookbook "collector" I was excited to add this beautiful book to the collection. I usually read cookbooks from beginning to end and love when I can be engrossed by both content and great food photography. The recipes we've tried so far have been light and delicious and I'm looking forward to cooking my way through the rest of them. The recipes are all essentially vegan so I'll often pair them with small portions of grass fed beef or pastured chicken etc. As a meat eater I still enjoy doing a few plant-based cleanses throughout the year, so this book works perfectly.Be aware that the recipes are heavy on nuts and grains so if you're suffering from autoimmune conditions that require the temporary elimination of these foods to heal, you might want to look for an alternative cleanse that focuses more on high quality proteins and vegetables only i.e. GAPS, SCD or paleo. I try to limit consumption of brown rice based products (rice pastas, wraps, rice flour, etc) due to high arsenic levels and this book does have quite a few recipes that call for these products, however all are easily substituted with things like cauliflower or coconut flour wraps and quinoa or lentil pastas.I always read a lot of negative reviews on cookbooks that contain "unusual" or "hard to find" ingredients, and to that I would say open your mind, experiment with new ingredients and flavors, and don't be afraid to source ingredients online these days! We do not have to limit ourselves to the ingredients at our local grocery stores, the internet has made it very easy to bring the seemingly endless flavors of the world into our kitchens. If you're looking for a cookbook that only contains inexpensive, easy to find ingredients there are cookbooks that cater to this and shouldn't be hard to find (the Whole 30 cookbook is a good example). But opening our mind up to new ingredients within our budgets is a great way to introduce a wider variety of both flavors and nutrients to our diets. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase and I'm excited to continue cooking.

Complete Guide to Heal Your Body Inside an Out!!!!!!
Amie's book is AMAZING!!! I've been following Amie's blog for over 3yrs and was so excited when I found out she was writing a cookbook. When it become available to order, I pre-ordered 10 copies to share with family and friends.I knew from the gluten and soy recipes I had tried from the blog that the cookbook would be great. I was not disappointed!!!! Her recipes are easy to follow, no weird ingredients and delicious!!! She has packed it full of hints, tips and tricks to detox every area of your life. From personal care items to, furniture to, cleaning products and we can't forget food!!! There are charts, lists, and recipes to guide you thru the changes. Photos of the recipes are so beautiful and I can't wait to try every recipe. This is one cookbook you'll be referring to over and over again. I'm so sad that Amie had to experience all that she did. But I know that all the information she has shared in this book is going to help so many people heal their bodies. I'm so inspired by her strength!!!

Great for Detox, But NOT for Those Dealing With SCH
I really want to give this book five stars and it really does deserve five and way more. Valpone's story is incredible and I wish her a long, healthy, and happy life. I have yet to make any of her recipes so I cannot speak to the taste, but they look amazing. However, I bought this book immediately after finding out that I had subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH). I knew that I had to change my diet. Unfortunately, the book contains many recipes calling for cruciferous recipes. Yes, these veggies can be substituted but I was hoping that this book would truly pertain to my cohort. In the short time that I have been transitioning from normal to the new normal (all the while feeling like a squirrel on a fantastic nut diet), Valpone's story has given me hope. I believe that there's a book out there for me but it's not this one. Again, I know that I can skip out on the recipes calling for cruciferous vegetables...but after removing the cauliflower from cauliflower parm or the arugula from the peach arugula salad, what am I left with?Otherwise, if you don't have SCH then I highly recommend this book. Very well appointed; good information, references, formatting that's easy on the eyes, and the recipes look scrumptious!

Post-its fill the pages to mark favorite recipes!
I’ve had this book for a number of years–it was one of the first I bought to start my grain-free, sugar-free, dairy-free lifestyle! It contains so many AMAZING recipes that 'post-its' stick out of all sides! I cooked dinner for my family the other night, and had to share the outcome…I was so excited to finally try the Kalamata Olive and Cashew Tapenade (p.304). I mixed it with zucchini noodles, and it passed around the table. By the time it reached me, ALL was gone–not because I didn’t make a large enough amount, but because it smelled so good that everyone took an extra large helping! Luckily, I had some extra tapenade in the refrigerator, and my husband and I sneak a spoonful every time the refrigerator is opened…It is now a routine go-to spread on my Cashew Butter Bread/Toast anytime I need a snack! This book helps make eating your way to a healthy lifestyle easy, delicious, and anything but boring!

Vegan
This is a completely vegan cookbook. I love that she educates people that food is medicine and harmful and that processed foods and junk is a big part of the health crisis; however I can't say I agree with cutting out all animal products. Educating ourselves about the problem with those foods (ie the fact that our animals aren't raised properly and getting grass and sunshine is a huge issue - animal products from grass fed pasture raised sunshine getting animals is a completely different thing than those normal products). Still there is definitely a lot of love put into this book and great vegan recipes.

Great book to get for clean and delicious nutrition
I got this book not expecting too much, but I have come to love these recipes and the description on how to lead a healthier life. I love the way it's non-pressure and explains very nicely the why and how. Really good book!

Tasty recipes
Well written with useful advice and tasty recipes. Note that some contain peppers, tomatoes or almonds so you might have to modify them if you're avoiding nightshade plants or nuts. The author offers advice based on her experiences but doesn't claim her diet is right for everyone. She teaches 'eat what works for you and your body', along with a suggested diet plan designed to help you understand what foods may be disagreeing with you.

Fantastic Recipes
I bought this book because I kept coming across the recipes on various blogs. It is really amazing. Everything I have tried out tastes delicious and I find all the information very informative. I have been "Eating Clean" for several years now but if I was a beginner to this way of eating, I would find the book very helpful. Again, the recipes are remarkably good and very easy.

Be Inspired
This book takes you on Amie's journey from ill health, almost dying ! , to brilliant health. There is a lot of information in this book and I am still reading and learning. There are chapters on clearing out you pantry to detoxing your home and office. As Amie says no point detoxing yourself if you are surrounded by chemicals in your home. There a lot of recipes all gluten free and plant based. I loved The Nectarine and Basil millet toss. So refreshing to see recipes with millet and not quinoa which I do not like. The photographs are lovely but there aren't enough sadly. I love a book to be filed with colour photos. I would recommend this book it feels as if Amie is talking to you personally. Check out her blog thehealthyapple.com to see if you like her style. Well done Amie for an inspiring book. Hope book no 2 has more photos!

Every recipe I have tried so far has been amazing! Beautiful photos and great tips throughout the book
Every recipe I have tried so far has been amazing! Beautiful photos and great tips throughout the book. Very regularly, "gluten free"/"clean eating" requires an insanely long list of ingredients, has a strange texture, and is bland....I have yet to have that issue with any of the recipes in this book.
