Great product for the price
Really surprised by the quality and craftsmanship of this scribe. It's the perfect size for project layout (actually using it as a scribe) and as a handy size square for assembly.

Excellent tool and value! **Update**
Got this yesterday and put it through its paces, between last evening and this morning. Major points: 1. If used as a square, it is indeed square! 2. The holes intended for marking, work very well. The holes can accommodate .5, .7 or .9 size lead and the ruler side has a slight chamfer on the lead-in. .9 works very well, and the thicker lead will not break easily. 3. The rule slides easily (after all, this is the use it was intended for). 4. The sides are beveled down, which will go a long way to eliminate parallax error when marking distances. 5. The bright red makes it easy to find! All in all, this is a well made tool. I had one reservation buying this tool, and that was, that it is a knock-off of the Woodpecker ruler. It is up to the buyer to decide, but for me, with Amazon Prime, this tool was delivered at less than one-half of the cost of the other (with shipping), and it is the equal.UPDATE: this morning I decided to test for repeatable accuracy, and the tool passed with high flying colors!

Solid functional
Was out of square when I received but it's easy to adjust.

Needs slight adjustment but otherwise solid and useful
Pretty happy with this making gauge. You have to use a mechanical pencil for this to be useful. A sharpened pencil is not going to work. Anyway, I like that out can be adjusted for squareness. It was not square when I got out but that was easily corrected.

Yes the lead fits in the holes
I don't know what kind of pencil the people who complained about the holes being to small to fit in the lead are using. If you are marking to the 1/32 surely you are not trying to do it with a carpenter pencil meant for framing. Any finish carpenter knows that the sharper the line the more accurate you can cut. My square arrived true to square according to every square I checked it with. My only complaint is the holes could be marked a lot more clearly. It took me a minute to figure out what row is what. In my opinion I would like the bole to angle the opposite direction. I feel like I'm working backwards. Other then that I'm happy and would recommend it to anyone who cant afford the other red tools I can only dream about

Very well worth the money.
I own several Woodpecker Tools and I’ll buy more, but I’ll buy more of these too. My Woodpeckers are things I leave in the shop and plan on handing down. This stuff honestly is as good as you need and then some.

Just get one
Just get it. You won't regret it.Couldn't use an incra tiny t in my pouch. Needed one for framing rips/strapping. Settled on this guy cause it seemed stout. 10/10 on milling/machining. 10/10 on anodization. 10/10 on material thickness and quality of aluminum. Accurate to a couple thousands. Nuff said.Carpenter approved.
