Midas Touch: Why Some Entrepreneurs Get Rich-And Why Most Don't

I really like this book! Its a must-read for every entrepreneur. Robert and Donald team up to pen a practical guide on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. I appreciate the fact that they didn’t try to sell a pipe dream. They were very real and straight-forward and didn’t shy away from the fact that entrepreneurship is hard work and sacrifice is a prerequisite to success. Here is one of my favorite statements Robert makes: p13 "Entrepreneurs need to work 24/7 in the start-up phase, often working for free for months and even years. Its the number of hours worked for free that defines entrepreneurs and separates them from employees. The number of hours working or practicing for free also determines the level of success you will have in anything….This is why its best to keep your daytime job and build your business in your spare time….you may be working for free for a long time.” According to this book the cornerstones of a successful entrepreneur are: Strength of character Focus Brand Relationships Little things that count My favorite is strength of character which is essentially the entrepreneurial spirit. They defined this on p1 as “The entrepreneur’s ability to dream, win, lose and win again is often called the entrepreneurial spirit. It is what separates the entrepreneur from everyone else in business. It is what separates those who want to be entrepreneurs from those who can be entrepreneurs.” I appreciate this book not being overly long as well. Most business books go on and on avoiding the heart of the issue basically padding the book with fluff to increase the book's size. This one does a good job with sticking to the core of the content. This book of Midas Touch was only told by a friend in Facebook who pm me about I comment on Robert Kiyosaki because each time he post his on quotes I also comment and share in my Page and my wall. Some 3 of them privately message me I add 2 of them which is girl and I am interested to hear more of them regarding their views, insight and ideas. They also involve in Networking as I am before and now turn to Investment. So, her name is Tess just for short he said to me Midas Touch she also have Think and Grow Rich as her second bible which mine is The Success Principles. I first read the book Business of the 21st Century which also talk about ESBI and a Networking venture. Then I currently read now Midas Touch I stop at Networking because the steps don't work for me. Great book

This book was a solid business refresher by Donald Trump. The reason I call it a refresher is because it really was very similar to many of the Donalds other business books. However, as usual, the advice given was very good and practical. As always this book along with his others, serve as a good motivational tool. What lifted this book to me was the fact that I was introduced to Robert Kiyosaki for the very first time. Having never read his other famouse books, this was the first time I ever heard his experiences or advice. I was very impressed with his writing and thought that he made a great reading partner with Trump. It mixed up the flavor of the book which made it highly enjoyable. The focus of the book was broken up into five easy tools to succeed while each tool was discussed by both authors. This kept the reader entertained and into it. Overall, I enjoyed this book and think that it is a good book for people that are interested in business motivation. Its also an easy read where someone can be able to read it in a few easy and enjoyable sittings. I highly recommend this book to all businessmen.

One of the first men I ever dated was an Entrepreneur (Scuba Instructor) and I Witnessed How Dedicated He was to his work, in order to succeed at all of his ventures (including photography, both underwater and school portrait photography, as well as the jewelry business). All these years later, whenever the word Entrepreneur comes up, I always think of HARRY. This BOOK by Donald Trump and the guy who wrote Rich Dad, Poor Dad (Robert Kiyosaki) -- I hope I spelled his name accurately -- lets you know how difficult it is. The Work is Hard, but the Pay Is GOOD. If you learn ONE THING ... it won't be handed to you. Mark Burnett, the man behind SURVIVOR was selling T-shirts on the beaches of L.A. when he first read the book RICH DAD, POOR DAD. You either make it, or you go to work for somebody else.

Good book with multiple valuable one liners. Although both writers use the same stories and experiences they have used in other books, the way they describe a good entrepreneurs point of view is excellent. I highlighted many parts of the book and will frequently read over my highlights to retain the good info. Easy read and the information is invaluable for new entrepreneurs who seek a clearer vision for their company.

I have been reading Kiyosaki's books all along since Rich Dad Poor Dad and following his development as he has come along. His teaming up with Donald Trump in his Midas Touch brought together a fantastic set of "wiggy information" which to my way of thinking is one of the greatest books to date on learning to get out of the rat race. Como todos los libros en donde participa Trump, son muy fáciles, muy digeribles, muy rápidos. Excelente participación de Robert Kiyosaki, y muy valiosas aportaciones sobre su vida personal y experiencias.

Great read! Went through it as if it was only 10 pages long! Gives great insight to the world of business and how one develops the "Midas Touch", while giving an abundance of practical examples from both Mr. Trump's and Mr. Kiyosaki's side. Very well structured, making re-reading for studying purposes very simple. All in all, a definite must read for any serious entrepreneur ready to think outside of the mainstream business studies box.
