Young Woodworkers Kit Club - Woodworking Subscription Club for Kids | Ages 8+

Kits are simple much like what you can get from lowes or other places. so don't exspect too much. They however cost 3 times as much as much lowes or other hobby stores prices so try to catch the subscription on-sale. On a positive note kid likes getting packages so it adds to the thrill of it.

Quality products! My special needs son loves doing these! Worth every penny!

Maybe it's just my child but they were not that into the crafts, maybe good for someone who really likes woodwork.

Our 6 y.o. kid loved kits so far. We currently received 2 kits.1st kit we received was a Helicopter, it has kids sized hammer included. Some help with nails were needed. It contained everything needed for the project including stickers, brush and few paint colors. The only thing we were needed to use from our home supply was glue. we completed it in two sittings as first time we run out of time due to some other activity already planned.2nd kit - a marshmallow launcher, came with cross-type screw driver, measuring tape, stickers, sand paper, brush, small plastic cup and 1 paint color.

Missing pieces, couldn’t even complete the project. Waste of money and time

First kit called for hammer, but hammer didnt come til following kit.The kit uses very small nails, which are impossible to hold by adult or child of 7 yrs old. Buy needle nose pliers before attempting to use. Also need to buy hammer. I was under impression all tools were included with kit.Later kit calls for square, but none included in this kit either.These kits can not be done by young child without adult supervision & assistance.If kits preprimed would be helpful as paint supplied soaks into wood, does not apoear like picture.Be aware that kit takes several hours, days, due to continued gluing, then later painting. Poor for young child with short attention span. May be better for older child. I ended up trying to do most of project myself. I was looking for something to build his skills not mine.

No where on the site does it state the project, candy dispenser, would not be the first project. It arrived late so I printed out a copy of the gift. I would have omitted the photo if it was not the project. I also placed the print out in a card with candy for dispenser. Even though my grandson liked the project he was disappointed. Hopefully, he will enjoy the next one.

First box was cool. It was a helicopter that included everything, even the paint, brush and sandpaper. Wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly pleased. We ordered this for my son’s 9th bday as he is always tinkering and looking for things to build. Our next box should be coming this week and I think he’s excited to see what’s next. Hopefully he will stick with this subscription box for a while.Update: we are now on our 4th box! My son who just turned 9 loves these. I don’t understand other people’s complaint reviews. We’ve never had missing parts or tools nor does it take days to complete. Out of 4 kits he’s asked me for help twice. He can do everything independently and it takes him 2-3hrs. We’ve had others ask where we found such a cool subscription and we’ve spread the word. So far he’s had a helicopter, marshmallow launcher, candy machine and a quarry truck. Obviously the candy one was a hit because he got to ask for candy to fill it. He really loved the quarry truck. He’s big into trucks and the fact it functions and dumps was awesome to him. It’s always fun to see the surprise on his face in anticipation of what the next kit will be.

I don’t know about the kit yet because I haven’t opened the little packages but the little hammer that came with the kit is split and looks like it will be a problem. There’s no time to return it and get it replaced before Christmas. I hope the next one is better.
