Walker's Silencer Electronic Ear Plugs (NRR 25dB) Pair

I bought these after reading about them and hearing word of mouth praise for their smooth transition from amplification to attenuation during high dB events, something I had found lacking in other products. I realize that these are lower cost; but, mine do not have the same transition as I had expected. Friends and colleagues suggest that my particular pair are somehow compromised; but, I had used them well after they were purchased for me as a gift, no exchange possible. The amplification static, too, isn’t why I expected. I plan to review again with another pair, as i am now going to contact the manufacturer. Others’ performed better than mine. Stay tuned...

I’ve used these a couple of times their great because I can hunt and still hear without having to anticipate when I’ll run into birds. I quail hunt without a dog and it is key to be able to hear to get close. I think the sound quality is alright, I like the way my ears hear without the plugs better, but then I’m trying to preserve that with the plugs. The batteries are a special type. I hunt about once a week, so I change them out every time. That costs me about a dollar. You could wear and keep them on 24/7 and that would cost about 2 dollars a week. I would buy them again, assuming they last.

I purchased these so I wouldn't have to wear ear muff style hearing protectors when I shoot metallic silhouette matches. I wear shooting glasses and it's a hassle to take the ear muffs off when you remove your glasses and put them back on. The good thing about them is that they provide a second layer of safety for your ears if you forget to put your ear muffs on and someone fires a pistol next to you!That said, I would purchase the three or 400 dollar ear buds if I could afford them. Hopefully they would provide better hearing protection without having to use ear muff style protection.

For the price , the Walker's Silencer's are a great item. I hunt and shoot competitive shotgun and the Silencer's do the job

I don't recommend these for use in an indoor range with large-caliber rifles. But they are wonderful outdoors.While I could hear small birds hopping in the grass almost 50 yards away, the rifle's report was completely damped.

Good product for the price. Works well close to rifle muzzle breaks and hand guns.

Product is a bit bulky and doesn't do a good job of filtering out background noise.

Bought these for my fiance! He loves them!
