I purchased this for my S&W model 638 J-frame. I have Crimson Trace laser grips on my 638 and it fits great in this holster. The holster has a retention screw so you can adjust the tension to your preference. This is a very nice holster with good leather and stitching. Excellent fit to the gun and it doesn't ride so high that it puts the gun in my arm pit. This makes it quick to draw from and easy to re-holster to. It fits well, albeit snugly, over my 1-1/2", very thick, EDC belt. If you read the paperwork that comes with it, they say not to use any kind of leather conditioner. I'm glad I actually read that because I almost automatically use leather conditioner on any new leather. I would recommend this holster for anyone who EDC's a J-frame.

This is a hard shell leather holster that fits my 642 perfectly. It has nice retention but may be a little tight for some people. The adjustment screw works well but I added some more blue loctite after my final adjustment. It conceals well under a untucked shirt.

Fits my "J" frame perfectly after trying 10+ holsters !! Most are loose or lack rigidity to keep it tight against the body, this fits and feels perfect. Nice quality leather with adjustable tension so it slides as easy or hard as you want .

These Desantis mini scabbard holsters are the best OWB belt holsters I have ever used. I have one for every single one of my carry guns. They are very small but offer great retention and a perfect fit. Very easy to conceal with an untucked shirt and much more comfortable than any IWB holster I have tried. They are quick to draw and since they are formed are very easy to reholster your weapon. I use one every day and they work perfectly. You can't go wrong with one of these and they make them for many brands and models of handguns. Pricing here on Amazon is usually as good as it gets.

Solid construction and good retention.

Great holster for concealed carry. Perfect for my S&W model 60. Comfortable fit against my waist, I almost forget I'm even carrying my gun. Holster holds gun snug and is adjustable. All around great holster. Of course it's made by De Santis !!

This Desantis holster is beautiful made. A real high quality leather and stitching. Obviously not as pictured in the product listing if you are buying for a J frame like me. You will get the correct holster though. Get a nice heavy leather belt (Galco makes an excellent one) and this finely crafted holster will snug right up to your hip. My S&W vintage '77 Model 60 fits it like a glove. The leather is molded around the firearm almost line for line. It is like it was wet molded. Definite quality. Not cheap junk. Fit is so good that it barely prints with even just a loose T shirt on. Forget about going a little cheaper with a Fobus or Safariland. Worth every penny.

This is an excellent OWB holster. I use it almost every day.
