Great size, poor quality
The mini yarn drum is a great size for taking small projects with you, like socks or hats. However, in the 6 weeks I have had mine, the lining of the canvas has started cracking and flaking off in multiple places inside the bag. It seems to be a very cheap plasticy lining; ArtBin would have been better off either applying the waterproofing as a layer coated on to one side of the canvas, or not having a lining at all. What is the point of marketing this product as waterproof if the waterproof feature falls apart so quickly?UPDATE: As of August 31, 2021, I have now peeled off the lining from the entirety of the mini drum, after it started to come off in pieces. Once all of the lining was removed, I coated the inside with 2 coats of Fabric Mod Podge to make it waterproof again.

Great way to keep yarn untangled
This is a great way to keep yarn untangled for your projects. I like that it has a larger opening to fit a lot of yarn through it. I bought two as I usually have two projects going at the same time. As others suggested, it is a little flimsy and this doesn't allow the yarn to move freely inside of it, so I lined the inside with some heavy construction paper (because I didn't have an oatmeal container cylinder), and it is working much better with this small amount of support - the yard has plenty of room to spin around as I pull out the yarn.

Adorable and Very Useful!
I purchased this merely because I wanted a smaller, more mobile version of my larger Art Bin (which I love to death.) (I go to the doctor a lot so this is more reasonable that the much larger scale, for me.) This thing is so adorable and I love it. I do wish it was a tad cheaper, but I don't mind the extra few dollars for it is well made and is light weight. Also, this strap is NOT like the straps on the others. It is MUCH shorter and has a clip on it, which I do not mind actually. I can clip it to my purse or even my belt loop of I wanted and crochet anywhere without my yarn getting in a mess. (I was only mentioning it for other customers whom may be curious.) Also, the picture shows the bin being more-so blue than grey as it mentions in the description....it is NOT like that in person. It is definitely grey; a beautiful grey at that I might add. I recommend this to anyone that happens to be on the move and still wants to knit or crochet.

Perfect for small projects and amigurumi
I crochet a lot of amigurumis and this is the perfect size to bring my projects on the go. It holds one skein of Yarn + small project. But, since many amis use small amounts of different colors, I like to roll small balls off the skeins. This fits many of those. It's perfect for my needs. It'd likely work well for a hat or scarf project as well. Or afghan blocks. The bag itself is a thick material with a good zipper. It has a slit in the top to pass yarn through. I like the short strap - it's perfect for carrying by hand. I like that the material of the bag is more suited to different areas - like I don't worry about damp grass soaking it or sand getting stuck to it.

Small but nice
Small. Good for one skein of yarn. Great for knitting scrubbies when my husband is driving to our cabin. Very well made. Material holds up well.

Project isn’t stuck in bin forever!
I love this bag. Other knitting bags only have a small hole for the yarn to come through and you are basically stuck with it until you finish a skein unless you want to cut our yarn. This has a nice slot on the top that allows you to slip the whole thing out if need be.This requires an external organizer, as it has NO zipper pockets. I tried to fit my organizer in it, but it was very tight (see photo).

Great for small projects.
Great for those little projects - my tote currently houses the sock project I'm ignoring. Holds two small skeins and the almost completed socks with a little room to spare. It's got a clippy thing on the handle - so you can attach it to whatever you're toting around (e.g. ginormous purse, gym bag, etc). The only thing that would make it more perfect would be a way to secure the top flap so my spare needles don't fall out - I've compensated by using a small pencil case to hold the foldy scissors, needles, and stitch markers - that works nicely.

Cute and great value!
This was a gift. I picked color since it looks very classy. I also liked it was collapsible.

It’s a regular skein of yarn perfectly. Very convenient.
Perfect size for a skein of yarn. Very convenient. Love the little pocket on the side to put your hook in for storage. The mesh that the pocket is made from is perfect to stick a darning needle through for safekeeping

Fell apart within a year
Initially a good little tote, but fell apart within a year. The lining ripped.

Good for a small project
This very small yarn bin is only good for a small project. There really is only room for a small ball of yarn, project and needles. If you need more than that then you should order the larger size ArtBin drum.
