Kathleen's Cakes CakeVase

As someone who likes to be daring in my cake decorating, this was an awesome find. It was easy to use and made a beautiful cake. I laid a wet paper towel across it to help keep the flowers in place without losing the moisture. It really works beautifully if you put the more central blooms in the little reservoirs and tuck others around them. Really made putting flowers on the cake much easier!

These are of no use. To arrange flowers is impossible they fall out unless you use and oasis then the cake gets smashed. Kathleen's Cakes CakeVase

I purchased this vase to use on my sons wedding cake. It was fairly easy to use. The shape of the little vases could maybe be a little longer for the heavier flowers like hydrangias. They wanted to pull out a little so in transporting the cake I had to gently tie some netting around the flowers to hold them in place. The cake looked beautiful.

Cheap and did not work for the wedding cake I was doing. Very bulky. Needs to have large amount of flowers to cover the plastic.

This product is a quick and easy way to make a plain cake (even store purchased) into a beauty using fresh or silk flowers. The vase keeps any of the stems, silk-wire-fresh, from touching the food. Easy clean up also.Arrived on time and in excellent condition.

For my daughter's wedding cake, I used Kathleen's cake vase and decorated it with live orchids and greenery. I used a small slice of the green florist foam as well. I decorated the cake plate with the flowers/greenery within 15 minutes, placed it on top of the cake. It was super easy and the results were great.

I used the CakeVase on a wedding cake recently. It is a nice idea to keep those toxic blooms off of the cake. The only things I didn't care for were the huge indentations it left in the top of the cake since the top layer was being frozen by the bride and groom. And I had a hard time keeping the blossoms in position. I think next time I will add a layer of florist's foam to keep them where I want them to be. Otherwise, this is a handy item to have for those times you want flowers on the cake, not in it.
