This Device Does Not Work
In theory, this device should work but it is gimicky. It needs to be re-thought, if at all. The only reason I purchased this product was to obtain some relief when my husband is out of town. Mistake. From While I am not one to [ever] write a negative review, I have made an exception mostly because not only is this product useless but the seller has a 'no return' policy which upset me. Had I been able to return this product, I would not be writing this review. Further, I want folks looking for spinal pain relief to be informed about how this device does not work before they make the same mistake I did - purchasing an item that does not honor returns. However, I am happy that some customers [somehow] found relief using this device. My first mistake was not thinking through how this device would be stored in between usages. The water bag is cumbersome at best, especially when filled to near capacity, as I need to do to get anywhere near the amount of traction that my neck requires. It needs to be filled from a kitchen sink since the spout is so small. This means that you then need to carry this bulky bag of water to some convenient door frame in your home. So, we are supposed to drain the bag every time we use it? Not only is that a waste of water but discouraging to think that we have to go through such a process prior to every use. Sure, we can keep the bag full of water, but then where do we put it? I set mine in the bathtub but then had to move it when necessary to use the tub. And what about mold developing which can occur within 24 hours? Ugh. My second mistake was not observing where the neck brace places the pressure in order to activate the traction. I should have recognized the red flag by other reviews that commented on 'the need for steel teeth and a mouth guard' in order for it to feel comfortable. Problem here is that the traction is placed around the jaw area, not the base of the neck area. So the traction is minimal at best. My third mistake was not recognizing the risk of the hanging metal hangar swiveling and either hitting me in the head or eye which I was able to avoid while assembling the device; and unless you remove the device from the back of the door -- every time you want to use it -- it will bang against the wall thereby damaging the wall every time you open the door. All being said, I finally used the device. Disappointed at best. It is worth noting that I have cervical spondylosis with cervical myelopathy (aka arthritis with fused discs) in my neck. However, I rarely take medication and have always preferred homeopathic methods to minimize the pain. Conclusion: the absolute best method for traction is the good, old fashion way - a long pillow case and your spouse, partner or friend standing behind as you lay on the bed, binding the sheet around the base of your neck and....gently pulling. Results are amazing. From now on, I'll wait until he returns to use the method that is tried and true.

Amazing
I just got this within the hour, set it up and used it for 10 minutes with 18lbs. The relief I’ve gotten in one short session is amazing! 20 minutes later and I can still feel my spine stretching out. I have not had this much relief in many many years. I have several herniated discs and torn ligaments in my cervical spine, compression fractures in my thoracic and my entire lumbar is herniated with a ruptured L5-S1. This just relieved nearly 50% of my pain. Specifically my lower back. This stretches your entire spine. You can’t get that from any inflatable neck device. This product could definitely use a few enhancements. It’s a little challenging to get into. I used the smaller strap for my chin. The wider one cut into my throat making it a bit uncomfortable to breathe. Also, someone recommended facing the door. I agree, however if you have long legs like I do that won’t help. The arm isn’t long enough. Don’t get frustrated trying to get in it. The benefits far outweigh the challenge.

Can't use without help.
I have problems with my shoulders and have not found a way to use this. The literature that came with this device recommends having a helper. Unfortunately that is not practical for me, so I will be returning this product. I found the device easy to assemble and apparently of decent quality - I was not planning to use the water reservoir so I can't comment on that. (I planned to use 1/2 lb weights in a strong cloth shopping bag instead of the provided blatter.)

good ex nightmare head harness
pretty good, It has a sturdy door hanger, good set-up to ensure traction. I ended up purchasing the green (different company on Amazon) replacement head sling. It works much better. The one provided is floppy and thin. It is very tricky and frustrating to put it on unless you are in front of a mirror; even then, its just ridiculous. Still a good value with the other head sling.

Works well but I have to use it daily.
I’ve used this device daily for years, to relieve neck and back pain. Replaced the full water bag with three 7.5 lb. weights (same total weight). Took a while to work up to this amount. I stretch 2 minutes at a time followed by 1 minute pulling down, to release tension. Total session time 30 minutes. Found this to be similar to being on a traction table. Physical Therapist told me I could do two sessions per day if needed. Neck harness wears out, but you can get another one from Amazon. Periodically replace the rope, after it wears out. Just wore out the metal hanger. A new device is coming today. At $21 it’s 10 bucks cheaper, than buying at the drug store.

Helped me so much with cervical spine slipped disk pain.
Love this pully system. It helped stretch my neck and released the pain in my C5-C6 herniated disk pain. Now I don’t need it anymore. So happy!

Doesn't work, it broke the first time I tried it.
This thing is a piece of garbage. One of the worst products I've bought in recent memory. First of all, my order didn't come with the balance beam that the instructions say to use. I figured I could do without it since it looked like it wasn't really necessary, so I tried to use it anyway. The instructions do not tell you where to tie the included rope to get the bag at the correct height to do the therapy, so I had to guess at that and tie a very awkward knot. I filled with 14lbs of water (it holds up to 20lbs) and the cheap velcro used to fasten the head strap kept coming apart every time I tried to fasten it. After fighting with it for a good 10 minutes, I finally got it to hold somewhat and tried to use the device per the instructions, only to realize that the bag wasn't at the right height at all and it wasn't pulling on my neck when I tried to sit up/down with it on. So I had to take it all off and re-tie the rope while there were 14lbs of water in it, which was a massive PITA. Once I finally got that sorted out, I tried to use it again and part of the headstrap just ripped apart seconds after trying to sit down with it on, and the chin rest snapped back and put 14lbs of pressure directly on my trachea. I had a shock of pain and had to quickly pull it off my head before it strangled me. I now have a massive headache and am in more neck pain than I was before. So thanks for that. The device is supposed to support up to 20lbs of water, but it's incredibly cheaply made and the headstrap is clearly incapable of supporting even a smaller amount of water. This is a piece of trash. Don't waste your money. If your orthopedic doctor recommends you buy a cerivcal traction device, do not buy this one unless you want to fight with it only for it to break before you even have a chance to see if it helps relieve your neck pain. What a waste of time and money.

Deliver of only part of the product
I received only half the product in a damaged carton inside a closed large envelope. The spreader, rope and the straps were missing. Unfortunately I cannot use it. The photo showed what I received

Mala calidad del material
Funcionó adecuadamente durante unas semanas y se rompió la bolsa. Tenía una similar en dos años nunca se dañó.
