MegaChef Ceramic Infrared Double Cooktop, 25 Inch, Black

This portable cook top was exactly what I was looking for. Simple, functional and stylish with an easy to clean glass top and precise temperature controls. Well constructed. Very happy with it so far.

Looks nice and well made. I ordered this for outdoor cooking on the deck. This cooktop works great for that purpose and heats up pretty quickly. I haven’t done any heavy duty cooking with it to be able to tell how fast or efficient it is. I ended up ordering a second one for my sister-in-law.

Temperature control seems good, it definitely gets as hot as I need it to. It heats up faster than my old 120v coil type burners too. I like the flat glass cooktop. My only real complaint would be the heating elements are a little bit smaller than the indicated areas on the glass top, so I get a hot spot in my frying pan until everything equalizes.

Build quality of this product is superior. The glass top the length of the cooktop makes cleanup a breeze. I read the review about the Megachef cooktop being weak. The only thing I can figure is they got a defective unit. This cooktop gets so hot on max you can literally feel the heat 5 feet away. This is a solid product.

It barely gets hot enough to boil 2 pans at a time. Neither pan comes to a rolling boil, but rather they simmer. It is easy to clean and it is lightweight.

Worked great when I didn't have a stove to cook on. Took a littler longer to warm water or whatever you are cooking up but it did the job. It's a pretty decent size cook top. Very durable if you happen to drop it. Will buy again if I need to

I put at least 28 hours across 5 days to search for the right electric cooker for me, as I am someone who cooks a lot and my cooking mostly takes about 1- 2½ hours each time. This is the right electric cooker. It heats up well enough to cook whatever. Yesterday, I boiled tea with A LOT of stuff in it in a 16 quart pot filled to the brim. It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to come to a boil. That was very impressive as it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes on a stove top with a large burner with actual fire. I got this 20 days ago, so not sure how reliable it is on the long run but in the meantime, it is superb and it looks like it will work for very long, it looks high quality. The knobs don't get hot and it has handles that you can use to move it around even while in use.

It functions as I expect. My deepest concern is the glass. I fear that one day water will spill on the hot surface and fracture the glass top. Also the surrounding area around the elements cannot be touched when using. Burn warning! ⚠️
