Q: Can you use this as a selphie stick for photos? There’s no remote. No directions either.

I use my pole all the time as a selfie stick. I picked up a remote for $10 that matches my IPhone 13 and it works fine.

Q: Will the phone dock fit around a iphone with a housing around it? (It will be much wider than just the iPhone)

I have an iPhone 12 max in an average case but I also have a pop socket on the back and it still fit

No, it does not. Mine did not come with one, and it doesn’t state anywhere that it’s supposed to. But then again, I received mine with the box taped up, ripped open and all busted up. So who knows.
