Treasures from Juniper Ridge

The more I read of Padmasambhava, the less qualified I feel to comment on the treasures he left. I think that may be because the great depth of the written teachings is at first disguised by their simplicity. It is quite rare, in my experience, to find material so profound and helpful which actually leaves one with a feeling that there is hope. I gave the book to a friend as a Christmas gift after reading it. I'll soon be buying another one so that I can read it again.

I am on my second read and am enjoying it as much if not more than the first time around. I epsecilly appreciate the direct pointing out. THis book is not clouded up with philosphies and doctrines it gets strait to the point and for anyone who has significant meditation experience and or Zen training will appreciate this book. I highly recomend it for meditation practitioners. If you are looking for philosphys, doctrines and dogma this probly isn't your book.

This is an invaluable guide for serious practitioners. It is with great devotion that Erik Pema Kunsang succeeds in making these profound teachings accessible. Thank you.

The instructions of Guru Rinpoche are a treasure jewel of buddhist teachings and an immense gift for everybody, who gets in connection with them.

This book is an amazing collection of teachings. These teachings are given by Padmasambhava and recorded by Yeshe Tsogyal ... not sure it can get much better than that. I find Eric's translation style to be extremely practical and understandable. I would highly suggest for those sincerely interested in Vajrayana.

I highly recommend this book to anyone familiar with the edge-less, object-less awareness. The communication is with words and transmitted. It has become part of my morning meditation.
