I prefer more writing area, so I returned it and bought the large version.

i’m a simple gal i reckon but i do believe this is the best product for having a journal unless you save all of your stuff. perfect & just what i was looking for.

It's a beautiful book, but not totally durable. You can see how the cover ripped apart from the title page during normal usage. I'm only about a third through using it. Not terrible for its price, but will get a more durable model next time.

The cover and the spine are sturdy and hold up well. The individual pages themselves are nice and heavy (thick). However, the pages are not smooth at all and writing is not a pleasure as it used to be on my previous journal (Eccolo). The difference is like night and day. I use a TWSBI diamond to write, which would effortlessly glide on the Eccolo. On this one though, I have to make an effort (albeit very small).

I'm on my third one of these and I'm surprised at how many negative reviews I see of them here. I write on it with a fountain pen with a calligraphy nib using different kinds of inks and have had no problem with bleed through.The negative reviews are mostly about the quality of the construction. I'm not the one to depend on for a review of that aspect, as I use it only on my kitchen table, laid flat, and I store it upright when done. I like its size and number of lines. If I were going to hit the travel trails with a backpack, as I did three decades ago, I'd opt for something smaller and tougher.I write two pages a day, venting, commenting on the present, remembering the past, and when it's full I put it on a bookshelf for those cleaning out the house when I'm dead to toss into a trashcan. It's been fine for that.

I journal daily and this is a PERFECT book for it.

This writing journal will really impress my nine-year old grandson who LOVES to create stories. Its design will make him feel like a "grown-up author".

Decent book, thought paper quality would be better

Product wasn't labeled as dangerous in any way on the Amazon website. It came with the label as per picture only visible after the smasill label was removed. I don't feel like touching it anymore.
