It works and looks enough like a fire that people want to get really close to check it out.

Kids loved it!
I used this to create a "fake" campfire feel in our summer school classroom. The kids loved the ambiance it created, but the motor was a little to loud. We had to turn it off when teaching.

As advertised.
As it says, it’s far too loud. They’re honest and upfront about that so I don’t hold it against the company/product. It’s exactly as advertised so really only useful for kids Halloween parties.

I knew it was a cheesy thing. I bought it knowing that. It was for a camp out in the living room for me and my grand niece. The part that was disappointing is, it's barely bigger than a coffee mug. It's about 4.5 inches in diameter. I was picturing at least 12"...
