We recently moved and donated or given away most of our household furnishings with the intent to replace them with new items when arrived in our new state of residence. We needed a small table for our eating nook in the kitchen area until our dinning room table arrived and was set up. I looked locally at the furniture stores and either they only had expensive dining room suites or the ones that were like we wanted had to come from a warehouse 65 miles away and the delivery and setup fees were about the same price as the table/chair sets. I looked at Amazon and was surprised to find hundreds of sets with prime or free delivery. We picked this particular set as it was very reasonably priced had decent looking chair and table design and the colors would match the area nook area. For some reason it two deliveries to get the complete set. The first delivery contained 3 boxes with two chairs in a box and one box with the pedestal only. I panicked, but the next day a large box containing the pedestal legs and table top arrived. Everything was well packed with the usual Styrofoam and cardboard. It took us a half a day to get everything assembled but I went slow and took my time. Everything fit together perfectly and the instructions were easy to understand. It even has extra bolts and washers just in case. All the pieces use captive nuts for screwing the bolts into and the captive nuts are firmly locked into place. There is a slight difference between the front and back legs of the chairs so you have to pay attention to which ones are which. The bottom of the chairs legs already have ant-scuff nylon (?) pads attached, and the table's legs also have pads that are adjustable for uneven surfaces. Overall, the quality seems to be excellent, with no bolts coming loose and no creaking noises like many cheaper quality sets. My original intent was to only use this table temporarily then donate it and purchase "good" quality set. I'm rethinking that now as I'm very pleased with this low cost alternative. As a side note I used a ratcheting screw driver with removable tip rather than the provided Allen wrenches. I could get more torque and screw the bolts in faster with this type of screw driver.

I searched high and low for a quality and affordable round white table and chairs. After reading dozens of reviews on multiple websites I settled on this one. It’s exactly what I was looking for...decent quality at a good price. This isn’t a high end piece but it’s also not a cheaply made item either. It shipped quickly and arrived in 4 boxes (1 is the table top, 1 is the table base and legs, and 2 are the chairs). The boxes were a little banged up but that’s normal to the shipping process. The contents were well protected, wrapped, and padded with foam packaging material. I inspected every piece before assembly and there were no damaged items. If there had been some damage there is a phone number for parts on the outside of the box. I put all 5 pieces together by myself in about an hour and a half. It has a modern matte finish that has a slightly porous feel. To ensure I keep the top in good condition and easy to clean I bought a round piece of tempered glass here on Amazon. I used 3 small rubber bumpers to place the glass on top. I’m very pleased!

For the money, this is a fantastic dining set. Really, really top notch for under $500. Solid wood, good painting / finish quality, and just very nice to look at. If you're on a budget and don't want to end up with a rickety IKEA set that's going to fall apart and get destroyed in 5 years, this is a much better investment. It's also very easy to assemble - you could honestly do it without the instructions if you had to. Try that with IKEA furniture.My only gripe is the chairs. They're good, but they could be better. When assembled, 2 of the 4 we received wobble. Once you sit in them and loosen up the joints, though, they do wobble less (invite some big friends to dinner!). After putting on furniture pads, they don't wobble at all. They do creak a bit, though. Hopefully that will lessen over time.As for the table's scratch-susceptibility, yeah, it's probably going to be an issue if this is something you're going to use a lot. Placemats are a good idea, and just be vigilant with coasters. If you have kids, spraying some polyurethane on is an option, but I honestly think it makes most furniture look cheap / tacky.

I loved the look of this set online and I love it in my breakfast nook. It's heavy because it's solid wood, and it's color is gorgeous. I have put a water repellent table cloth over it to protect the finish. When putting this together, I really struggled with the 1st chair. I finally realized the instructions were misleading and started just using bolts that seemed to be the appropriate ones for the spot. It's manufactured in Thailand, so the translation lets lost a little bit. The pictures helped, but again, misleading. There are 3 sizes of bolts Short, Medium, and Long. Only the short and long bolts were discussed, so I had to decide where do these dang medium bolts belong. Anyway, after the 1st chair was done, it was a breeze. Also, the staples holding the hardware to the backside of the table were really tough to get out. I was using pliers, twisting and pulling with all my might for about 30 minutes to remove 4 areas of heavy duty staples. I think I did a pretty good job!
