Can you leave the pool full over winter

What is the thickness of the poles?

Hollow elliptical 45 x30mm. We've had 2 pools now and the legs have never failed. Hope this helps

How do you empty the water below the level of the valve?

I siphon the whole lot out with a length of garden hose, takes it down to about 1cm deep. It helps if you can get the 'out' end lower than the 'in' end of the hose, but it's not necessary. After that, bail, mop, or wet/dry vacuum.
