Q: Can other 18650 batteries be used with this light? Or its it a proprietary battery?

Yes! I installed LIION Wholesale protected button top 3500 mAh 18650 batteries in mine. I NOR tested the ZX850 battery that came with mine and it tested at just over 2700 mAh. The ZX850 battery was a tight fit in my charger.

Q: Where can i find a backup usb-c rechargeable battery for this headlamp?

Coast sells them, Alternatively any usb-c 18650 will work.

Q: How can I buy the head lamp holder only cause mine broke off and the light even though it works good is useless now with no way to place it on my head

Mine did the same thing, so I bought some mini zip ties and attached the light back to the strap and it works perfectly.

Q: Does this lamp just turn on and off without having to cycle through a bunch of modes?

If you turn it on and leave on for a couple minutes, one click will turn it off. If you turn it on and immediately want to switch off you will be required to toggle through the three different settings before it will shut off. When turning it on, toggle (push button) through the brightness settings till you reach the preferred brightness. Best headlight I’ve ever purchased. Purchase a battery recharger with a couple extra batteries for uninterrupted availability.
