I only just received this, so haven't put it on my hive yet, but this is possibly the most well constructed screened bottom board I've ever seen. It's coated in beeswax, so no need for paint. The entrance excluder fits into it's own section (pics 1&2) so it won't get hung up under the box or on the screen. Speaking of the screen, it's high quality, durable metal screen, not chicken wire. The board that slides in is thick plastic, not the stuff they make campaign signs out of, and it has a wooden edge that nestles into the back, which also has a metal edge. The underside has a wooden frame for extra support. It looks great, and I'm looking forward to putting it to use, and it seems like it will last for many years. For under $60, you can't go wrong. Will report back if I have any problems, but from first glance, it looks really good.

These screen bottom boards are sturdy, great fit, look good, and durable. The wax coating is good and protects the wood. I have purchased this item multiple times and each time I am happy with the product.

Good quality screen bottom board, doesn't smell like beeswax though. But does have a good coat of wax covering it.

I like the screen bottom board we have a strong hive so they kick out just about anything right now the white board is great to see if a lot of mites are falling off or larvae I have put a very thin layer of oil on the board so it kills the larvae,mites and hive beetlesIn the summer I take off it helps them to stay cool

This is the most beautiful and sturdy bottom board I've ever seen! Arrived very fast too, would definitely recommend.
