Works great for me
It works great with German roaches. It is not messy, has no odor, it is not sticky cause it is liquid, and the instructions are easy to use. I put it out of sight in the back of my refrigerator and stove. It is versatile because it does kill the large roaches as well as the small ones. When it rains for some reason the large flying roaches come in and start to fly so we got this also for them. It is very consistent. I also use it in the bathroom in back of my toilet because the bath tub has a leak and the roaches go to drink water, however, I do find a lot of dead bodies because they drink that instead before they reach the tub. This was my second time buying this bundle and I will definitely buy more.

A must-have item for living in Florida!🌴🪳
These are a MUST-HAVE when living in Florida. And we all know, that you don’t need to have a gross house to have roaches in Florida, they are just inevitable no matter how clean you are! I tell my family and friends to use these when they complain about roaches, and they always thank me later! The key is consistency; it’s not a one-time solution. When the bait is empty, replace it to effectively manage roaches. My HOA provides quarterly professional pest control services, but lately, I’ve been away when they’re scheduled to visit. Consequently, for the past nine months, I’ve solely relied on these baits throughout my home, and I haven’t encountered any roaches! I’ve used these baits for 7+ years as an additional preventive measure, but I’m even more impressed with their effectiveness in the last year without any pest control services. I use all six baits each time they’re delivered. I place two in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, one by the front door, one in a window sill in the dining room, and one in the living room. Don’t just place one bait in a 1500-square-foot house and expect it to work. Place all six baits and then repeat the process when they’re empty (I find that I replace them every two months, but probably less frequently when I am getting regular pest control services). I genuinely swear by these baits and haven’t had to deal with any roaches in quite some time. (Now I’m afraid I’m gonna jinx myself and find a cockroach tonight staring at me😅)

Works better than the expensive ones, but you need patience
I've tried pretty much everything - Combat gel, Advion, Gentrol, Raid, the black Combat stations. This Hot Shot liquid bait is up there with the best. Setup: Comes with 6 bait stations. You peel the top and place them. I put 2 in kitchen under sink, 1 behind fridge, 1 behind stove, 2 in bathroom. Super easy, no smell, no mess like the gel that gets everywhere. Results: Did not see instant kill like spray. First 2-3 days saw MORE activity which they say is normal - they're attracted to it. By day 5 I noticed way less. By week 2 I was only seeing dead ones. Now at 3 weeks I haven't seen a live one in the kitchen at all. Compared to Advion ($25) - this is honestly 90% as effective for half the price. The liquid seems to work better than the solid Combat stations I had before because they actually eat it. Tips: 1) Don't spray Raid near it or they won't eat it. 2) Replace after 3 months. 3) You need to clean up crumbs or they have no reason to eat bait. Cons: The station is a little bulky and you can't see how much they've eaten. I wish it had a clear window. Overall 5/5 - if you have a light to moderate german roach problem, start with this before you pay for exterminator. I'm reordering.

Seem to work
These are good if you're in an area with big roaches like Florida, SC, Georgia, etc. The big ones can't get into the combat and some other brands. They seem to eat the bait and go croak; find them upside down a few days after putting these out. I don't give five stars as they don't seem to last too long and they're rather expensive.

Effective Roach Killer
These seem to work great. I noticed several cockroaches in my apartment in a 2 week period of time, which is more common at this time of the year where I live in a humid climate, so got these to see if they'll handle the problem. I've had them for almost a month and only one has showed up, so they are definitely working. The roaches eat the gel and then bring it back to their nest where they die, get consumed by other roaches (gross) and then those die. So it helps kill the nests. They last for 3 months, which is great, and target both big palmetto bug roaches and and small roaches. There is no odor and they are easy to place and set (just peel off the plastic seal, place it and you're done.

If I could give more stars I DEFINITELY would!!!!
If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! I was dealing with a massive German cockroach infestation—and anyone who has ever had German roaches knows how incredibly difficult they can be to get rid of. It had gotten so bad that I was even seeing them during the daytime, not just at night. I put these Hot Shot Ultra Liquid Roach Baits out, and the difference was unbelievable. Within just 2–3 days, I wasn’t seeing roaches anymore. Now, a month later, I still haven’t seen a single one—even when I check at night! I honestly did not expect something this simple to work so well after how severe the infestation had become. I will absolutely continue using these as a preventative measure. If you’re battling German cockroaches, I HIGHLY recommend giving these a try. They worked amazingly well for me!

Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait - A Mixed Bag in Roach Control
Introduction When you have a roach infestation, it’s a non-stop battle until the critters are finally eradicated. I, unfortunately, found myself facing a stubborn infestation that was not only unnerving but also raised concerns about hygiene. With high hopes, I opted for Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait, lured by its claim of being an effective roach killer. The 6-Count 1-Pack option seemed convenient and practical. Having used it for over a month now, my opinions about the product are mixed. Initial Impressions and Unboxing The Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait comes in a simple package that provides straightforward instructions. The initial impression is one of ease and convenience. The box contains six bait stations, which seemed adequate for my small apartment. Each station is meant to attract roaches with a liquid formula, which they consume and eventually die. While this appeared to be a neat, hassle-free method of roach extermination, my experience turned out to be a little more nuanced. Ease of Use: Uncomplicated, but is it Effective? Installation was a breeze. The bait stations were easy to set up in the kitchen, bathroom, and under the cabinets—places where roaches are frequently sighted. I appreciated that no advanced preparation was required. However, a crucial point to consider is that the bait stations work best in locations where they remain undisturbed, which may not always be possible in busy households. First Week of Use: Patience Required For the first week, I noticed a very slight decrease in roach activity. The bait stations did seem to attract the roaches, but the results were not immediate. I decided to exercise patience, as the box suggested that significant results might take up to two weeks. Performance after Two Weeks: Noteworthy but Limited By the end of two weeks, there was a noticeable reduction in the number of roaches, particularly in the kitchen area. The bait seemed to be working, but it was clear that it was not a quick fix. Also, I observed that while the adult roaches were decreasing in number, I still noticed some smaller, younger roaches. A Month in: Limited Longevity and Selective Effectiveness After using the bait stations for a full month, several concerns arose. Firstly, the bait’s effectiveness seemed to diminish after 3 weeks, requiring me to replace the stations sooner than I’d anticipated. Secondly, while the product significantly reduced adult roaches, smaller ones seemed less affected, which raises questions about the bait’s efficacy across different roach life stages. Safety Concerns: Keep Away from Pets and Children Another critical aspect worth mentioning is safety. The bait contains chemicals harmful to pets and children. Though the bait stations are designed to be tamper-resistant, they are not entirely foolproof. I had to be extremely careful to place them in areas inaccessible to my pet cat, which limited my options. Comparison with Alternatives: An Okay Option but Not the Best Before using Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait, I had tried a couple of other roach control options like sprays and gels. In comparison, the Hot Shot bait stations are less messy and more user-friendly but fall short in terms of overall effectiveness and longevity. Cost Factor: Economical but Not Entirely Cost-Effective In terms of cost, the Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait is relatively economical, especially when compared to hiring professional pest control services. However, the need for frequent replacements does add up over time, affecting its overall cost-effectiveness. Environmental Concerns: Disposable but Not Biodegradable The bait stations are disposable, which is convenient but not environmentally friendly. The plastic used is not biodegradable, adding to environmental concerns. In today’s age, where sustainability is a growing concern, this is something the manufacturer could improve upon. Customer Service: Average Support When I reached out to Hot Shot’s customer service with queries about the reduced effectiveness over time, the response was polite but not particularly helpful. They reiterated the instructions on the box, suggesting that for severe infestations, more time might be needed. This was somewhat disappointing. Final Verdict: Middle-of-the-Road in Pest Control After a month of using Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait, my conclusions are mixed. While the product does show some effectiveness in reducing adult roaches, it does not appear to be a comprehensive solution for roach control. The limited longevity, selective effectiveness across roach life stages, and environmental concerns make it a less than ideal choice for long-term use. In sum, Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait offers a middling performance. If you have a minor infestation and are looking for a convenient, short-term solution, this could be an option worth considering. However, for those facing a severe or persistent roach problem, you might need to look elsewhere for a more potent and comprehensive solution. Other User Experiences: A Mixed Bag Talking to neighbors and friends who have used this product, it became clear that my experience was not an isolated case. Some reported decent success, but many shared concerns about its long-term effectiveness. Social media reviews further corroborated these mixed results. Chemical Composition: Effective Yet Potentially Harmful The chemical composition of Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait is another facet worth diving into. The active ingredient is fipronil, a widely used insecticide. While effective, fipronil is a chemical that can have harmful environmental impacts, especially if it finds its way into water systems. Therefore, disposal of the used bait stations should be carried out responsibly. Aesthetic Factors: Unobtrusive but Noticeable Aesthetically, the bait stations are designed to be unobtrusive. They can easily be tucked away in corners, under cabinets, or behind appliances. However, it’s important to note that they are still visible if someone is looking, and may not be the best option for those who prioritize interior aesthetics. Shelf Life: Limited Although the product has a relatively long shelf life, once opened, its effectiveness diminishes significantly over time. For those buying in bulk, this is a factor to consider. You may find yourself with unused bait stations that are not as potent as when initially purchased. Complex Infestations: May Require Additional Measures For those dealing with a more complex infestation that includes not just roaches but also other pests like ants or spiders, this product will not suffice. You will need to invest in additional pest control measures, making it less cost-effective than it initially appears. Application Versatility: Limited to In-Home Use The Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait is mainly designed for in-home use. It is not ideal for outdoor infestations or for use in conditions where it could be exposed to the elements. This limited application versatility further restricts its usefulness. Refund Policy: Standard but Rigid Hot Shot offers a standard return policy, but it is fairly rigid. You would have to return the product largely unused and within a limited time window, which, given the nature of the product, is not very practical. Effect on Other Household Insects: Negligible While the product targets roaches, it would be a boon if it had some effect on other common household pests. Unfortunately, it seems to have negligible effects on ants, flies, or any other insect you wouldn’t want around, making it a one-trick pony. Potential for Improvement: Plenty The product has several areas where it could improve. More eco-friendly materials, a longer-lasting formula, and perhaps a design that could make it more pet and child-safe are just a few points where enhancements could make a significant difference. Conclusion: Good for Short-Term, Not for Long-Term After a deep dive into my experience and the various facets of Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait, it’s evident that while the product does offer some advantages such as ease of use and initial effectiveness, it falls short in several crucial areas. Its limited longevity, selective effectiveness across different roach stages, and environmental impact make it less suitable for long-term roach control. Therefore, while it may serve as a short-term solution for minor infestations, it doesn’t replace the need for more comprehensive, long-term solutions, particularly for severe or complex roach problems. In a market crowded with alternatives, the Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait is not a standout product but rather a middle-of-the-road option that may or may not suit your specific needs. If you’re facing a roach problem that requires immediate, albeit temporary relief, then this could be an option. Otherwise, you might be better off considering other methods that offer a more holistic and long-lasting solution to your pest problems. Final Thoughts and Recommendations: Proceed with Caution In conclusion, my nuanced experience with Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait places it firmly in the “average” category. While its ease of use and initial effectiveness might make it seem like a simple and straightforward solution, a closer look reveals several limitations and downsides. For those who are seeking a quick fix or who have a minor, isolated infestation, this product may provide some relief. However, for households dealing with more extensive, ongoing roach problems, or for those concerned about environmental impact, other, more comprehensive and sustainable solutions are likely a better fit. Given the mixed reviews, and my own observations, I would recommend Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait as a supplementary measure rather than a complete solution. If you do opt to use it, I suggest pairing it with other, longer-term roach control methods and taking care to follow the instructions and disposal guidelines to the letter. Cost-to-Effectiveness Ratio: Could Be Better While the product isn’t expensive, the cost-to-effectiveness ratio could be better. Given its limitations, you might find yourself needing to buy multiple packs over a short period, thereby increasing the overall cost. In the long run, investing in a more effective, albeit more expensive, roach control solution might offer better value for money. Final Rating: 3 Stars Taking all of these factors into account, I would rate the Hot Shot Liquid Roach Bait a solid 3 out of 5 stars. It has its merits but leaves much to be desired in terms of long-term effectiveness, environmental impact, and versatility. For those dealing with minor infestations or looking for a stop-gap solution, it might be worth a try. However, for anyone dealing with a larger, more persistent problem, I would advise considering alternative options that offer more robust and enduring solutions to your roach-related woes.

By far the BEST !
I must say these are amazing for the price. I’ve had a small roach problem because my neighbors moved out next-door to me in an apartment and a of all comes to my house, looking for food and water. They were extremely small baby roaches, which means obviously they’ve been roaches that are breeding so I bought two packs of these and put them around my house within three days. I was finding dead roaches everywhere. ! I spent a day vacuuming out my cabinets around my baseboards, and when I dumped out the vacuum, there were so many dead roaches. This stuff works so well I have not seen a live roach anywhere.! in three days it’s a great value for your money and I’ve even told my pest control guy about them and he says I will recommend them for other people because it’s also good with pets. I have cats my cats do not bother items that are not their toys so I can’t contest for your pet because I know some pets do chew items so I don’t recommend this for someone that has dogs that chew up items cause you don’t want them chewing up the item with the pest control in it, but if your pets do not chew or play with items that aren’t your toys I definitely recommend this for pest control in your home. My cats have had problems with roaches when this issue started going into their food bowls, so I have tucked one behind where their food bowls are, and it has been amazing no more roaches in their Food. ! If you’re on the fence, this is a definite buy. It will help so much don’t live with bugs ! This is a game changer!
