Bridgy MC Bridge face
I've named mine, as above. Just for fun. This is the real deal, there are MANY on the market which are made from cheap thinly galvanised sheet. This is totally different. It has awesome adaptability and adjustability. I use it with my expensive Shapton stones and it hasn't caused any damage to them as cheaper, poorer quality bridges will. It looks nicely with large rubber feet which are obviously built to last. All metal parts are Stainless Steel, not cheap galvanized mild steel. I 100% recommend this Bridgy Mc Bridge face. 😁

Sturdy hold and works well with a variety of stones
I have a second sink I use to sharpen my knives -- this was the perfect addition to hold my Shapton stones. The rubber feet are complemented by small rubber strips which really hold the bridge in place extremely well. The stones are held in place firmly and I've never had any slip out even after considerable use. Overall, great value and works like a charm!

Does what you'd expect very well
Does a great job and is nice and sturdy/adjustable. However I do have two minor complaints: 1) It's getting a little bit expensive now! I had to re-buy after roughly 2 year's use (partially my fault - see point 2) and it's jumped by 30%!! Good product, but really guys? 2) The standard thumbscrews used to hold both the length of the unit and the whetstones themselves look good, but are RUBBISH. On my original holder (purchased March 2022) I resorted to tightening them up with a set of pliers as they would loosen on their own if tightening by hand... Well I sheared off two of them didn't I? and couldn't drill them out, so ended up purchasing again January 2024 - Went to a builder's merchant and got some decent M6 screws to use instead (see pic), much better, even if it doesn't look as good.

I cant really see how this could be much better, had it a few years, does me well.

Great for whetstones
This is fully adjustable and allows you to use your sink for sharpening with water stones to avoid making a mess. Not recommended if you use oil stones.
