My 9 yrs old daughter loved it and making key chains for her friends as well. The instruction is clear and easy to follow.

Bought this for my 11 year old daughter. Didn't come with needles so we tried to use a sewing needle but very difficult to keep rethreading when the thread came out. She has never done it before we assumed it was a beginner type kit. No instructions just words on how to do each stitch but not how to start or what to do first or how may strands of string to use for stitch. We had lots of questions. Thinking they just weren't included in the box like the needles that were suppose to be there, I looked and couldn't find an instruction video or any construction online either. Might be better for someone with experience. I have some needle work experience. but since it says age 8 and starter kit so I thought she could do by herself at age 11 and that was not the case.Frustrating!!!

My very independent 9 year old enjoyed this project. I stretched the fabric over the frames and she needed some of my help to undo a stitch.The directions were pretty brief and she didn't want my help there. But even where she didn't follow the directions to the letter the end result was pleasing to her and the recipient.Each one took about 2 hours for her to complete.

I ordered two of these for some creative girls in our family. They are super cute and I know the girls will love them! I am excited to see the finished products when they finish them!!!!

My daughter wanted to learn beginning embroidery and these seemed small and easy. I really wanted to like it. However, this is NOT for a beginner. It uses very small needles with tiny eye holes. I figured she’d be fine if I could thread the needle for her, but the threader broke. I grabbed a needle with a slightly larger eye hole from an old sewing kit, but it did not want to pull through the fabric easily and required a stronger individual. This is NOT for beginners. Even I can’t seem to get it to work.
