Q: How does the set handle over uneven surfaces, carpets and curbs?

It handles well over uneven surfaces and curbs. Carpet is always more difficult with any luggage, but the pulling strap really helps with this. The pulling strap significantly reduces the pressure on the front 2 wheels and allows them to roll over pretty much anything easier. It's a very useful option, that also lets you take longer steps without kicking your bag.

Q: When do you recommend using the pulling strap?

Thank you for the question! The pulling strap is an important element to our system. The pulling strap is designed to significantly reduce drag or rolling friction. The strategically placed D-ring which create a slight upward pulling angle distribute the weight evenly across all the wheels. We have a video called “TACH Pulling Strap! It’s That Easy” if you would like to take a look. In the video, a woman is easily pulling about 300lbs of TACH and pushing a stroller at the entrance of Chicago O’hare airport. Video Link: https://youtu.be/fBLif5VcoWA The strap is usually not necessary with only 3 pieces of luggage, but if you are walking a long distance it rolls easier and allows you to take longer strides to cover more ground quickly. If you are pulling 4 or more connected units you will really start to notice the difference between pulling the raised handle vs using the pulling strap.

Q: Which one do I have to order to make sure I get the inside with the 5 different pockets. I read a review that stated she received a different version.

They all have 5 pockets. That might have took place during the transition to the 5 pocket design, but we have had the 5 pocket design for 2 years now.

Q: I'm interested in the trac 3 piece luggage set but the only color coming up is red. do you have this in the midnight blue?

Yes I do. However the midnight blue is almost more of a royal blue.
