Poor build quality - broke after just 2-3 uses
I was disappointed with this Amazon Basics 3-in-1 can opener. After using it only 2-3 times, the black plastic components started breaking apart from the main metal body. The build quality is much lower than expected, especially considering Amazon Basics usually offers reliable products. The internal mechanism feels flimsy and couldn’t withstand even light regular use. While the price point is attractive and the 3-in-1 design concept is good, the poor durability makes this a waste of money. I’d recommend spending a bit more on a higher quality can opener that will actually last. Why did you choose this product over others?:I chose this because of the Amazon Basics brand reputation and the good overall rating (3.9 stars). The 3-in-1 functionality seemed practical, and I trusted that Amazon’s house brand would offer decent quality at a reasonable price point.

Stainless Steel Can Opener
It's not often I need to use a can opener these days, as most of the cans I buy come with a ring pull. However, tuna doesn't seem to and I think it's always useful to have a can opener in the kitchen drawer in case a ring pull snaps - which has happened to me twice. This is a chunky design which is comfortable to grip whilst you're opening the can, the lever (turner?) is also nice and wide (just over a centimetre) and doesn't have edges which dig into your hand. (Our previous tin opener had been around for a very long time and was not the most comfortable thing to use). The handles are brushed steel and have "amazon commercial" etched into them in a small font, but this opener is ideal for home use.It also comes with a bottle opener at the end of the utensil - there are two, one at either side meaning (I guess) that it can be used by both left and right handed people. I can't check this out because we're all right handed but I'm assuming that's the reasoning.Overall - good design and easy to use.

Nope
Unfortunately it broke after a few times of use (5 maybe 6 times) but it looks great in my opinion but let down by its durability.

Well-Made, Sturdy, Smooth & Easy Operation (Make Sure You're Using It Correctly!)
As this was previously Amazon Commercial brand (Amazon's 'catering / professional' line) and had great reviews, this encouraged me to buy.I seem to have chucked my old tin opener out post-kitchen-refit, but as most cans come with ring pulls, I hadn't noticed!I wonder if the negative reviewers are using it with the tin opener 'on top' of the can - thinking it's the type that shears the entire top off, under the lip? These are used the 'old fashioned way'. Remember the butterfly tin openers mum used? You position the blade at a 45 degree angle and pierce the very top of the can instead. I prefer this style as it's easier to use.Nice, smooth, quick operation, all you could want from a tin opener!

Easy to use & they work!! Give a gentle opening to the tin. Contents easy to remove. Have a good size to be able to grip to work with them.
