You first must know that the pitcher base is made of clear, heavy duty plastic and has a sleek design. The opening at the top is large enough to fit your hand and clean the inside (unless your hands are 'extremely' large). The top itself is heavy duty plastic and has a molded handle; the top with the handle screws on and is very secure. I tried turning the pitcher upside down having liquid in it and found no leaks. What I like best about the pitcher is the pouring mechanism on the handle. When you are ready to pour you hold the handle and push a small button with your thumb that is built into the handle, and slide a lever back which opens the lid for pouring. One thing that caught my attention was that the spout itself is dripless. Push, slide to open, release to close and it locks in place. Overall I am very impressed with the pitcher itself and would recommend it to anyone.

This jug is a good price, lightweight even when filled with water or juice. The handle has a hood grip so you can move it in and out of the fridge with ease I love the open and close button very functional and for 1 hand pouring. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and it has never leaked and I love that it can be placed standing up or lying on the side in my fridge.

This pitcher is beyond great. Takes up very little space in fridge, very easy to clean, and the handle is well designed. This was beyond my expectation for a plastic pitcher, so much so I bought another. I even brewed 1 qt. of tea ( boiling water), added to the pitcher with another qt. of water and sugar. I also turned the full pitcher, side down, on my counter top. Waited....NO LEAKS. I do not usually pay this much for a pitcher, they hooked me with the ability to add boiling water so I gave it a shot. WELL WORTH the money.

This has been a great product so far, but last night I accidentally knocked it off the drying rack and onto the hard floor. I didn't realize it at the time, but that must have caused a small chip that compromised the integrity; later that night when I went to pour water in, it leaked out all over the counter. Luckily I noticed it quickly but the break was clearly from the outside when I examined it. I wish I had thought to take a picture.Still, I consider that my fault for dropping the pitcher on the tile ground beforehand. It has been a good product so far; I have been able to pour hot water for iced tea directly from the kettle up until this point, which has been very convenient. In the three months I have had it, it hasn't retained any smells (which is my usual concern with plastic pitchers for iced tea). It fits in the fridge and seals tightly and stores sideways, with the caveat to not store it with the spout pointing down or it may dribble slightly if there is excess liquid in the lid from an earlier pour. If you're mindful to check carefully for outside chips after a tall, this is a great pitcher.

Love, love, love these pitchers!!! They hold 2.3 quarts, so very nice for stirring if needed.You can pour boiling water directly into them, I do when making iced tea. The plastic is sturdy, and has never cracked or leaked.The pitcher lid screws on, and is 99% leakproof. We did have a small spill once, but the pitcher was both slightly overfilled and very well used at that point, so the lid might not have been screwed on quite as tightly as it should have been.We've used these for Gatorade, iced tea, lemonade, sangria, summer punches, orange juice, etc.The pitchers clean up very well and do not hold much of a scent afterwards. (After a couple years of use, a very faint scent is barely noticeable, and only up close, like if you are putting the slide mechanism back on the lid. Which is easy, I just didn't have it lined up properly to slide on.)We usually just plunk them in the dishwasher and they come out sparkling clean.With flat sides, we have more space as the footprint is more compact than our round 2 quart pitchers.

I was looking for tea, and this item came up in the list of things other people bought. It had great reviews, but I thought it was a little pricey for a pitcher. Well, I have never been happier with a pitcher. It holds 2 quarts with a little bit of room. I use it for mixed drinks of various kinds. I put the ingredients in, screw the lid on, and shake to mix. No leaks. It has flat sides, so it fits nicely on the same shelf as box cartons without wasted space. And it really doesn't leak when I turn it sideways.I wash it in the dishwasher, and it doesn't cloud or warp. The lid has to be dismantled to get clean, but I have no problem with that. It is easy after the first time, with figuring out all of the parts that separate and then reassembling. Just make sure that you put the silicone ring and pour stopper back on properly. They are the keys to leak prevention.I have been using it every day for over two months, and I love it.

By far the best water pitcher that we have ever used. It is leak proof and disassembles very easily to clean. Also, the flow is regulated when you pour, so no need to worry about water gushing out when you pour (good for kids over 8 yrs old). We bought 2 of these. The only minus is that they are not durable. We dropped one (fortunately when empty) and it cracked (so not so good for kids under 8 who have slippery, cheez doodle dust covered fingers). Despite this minor fault, we immediately ordered a replacement since we like it so much. We used to use a Lock&Lock pitcher which did the job but didn't look as aesthetically pleasing as this one. We've been much happier with this one.
