Good For Fine Motor, Teaching Multiple Concepts, Watch Carefully With Chewers/Kiddos With Impulse and Risk Assessment Challenges
I purchased these a couple of years ago to work on fine motor skills with our son, who has a rather long list of diagnoses at this point that come with global developmental delays. At the time, I wanted this as part of a fine motor progression for stringing beads. He had become very successful with larger two inch beads, and I thought this would be a good next step progression and challenge for the beads, and I liked that there were pattern cards. And even though we've now progressed to stringing cheerios, I have recently placed this back in my rotation for therapy targets and tasks because of the pattern cards, which was something we could not work with him on at the time of purchase. So, durability wise, we have no issues with this product. The strings have been holding up. For our little man, because of the nature of his challenges, we did have to knot one end of each string to keep the beads on and give him a good basis for adding more beads without getting frustrated. That is something we still need. If you have a kiddo who is a chewer or has impulse control issues, this is a toy that you will need to closely supervise and may still stress the living day lights out of you from time to time. For example, today I was working on a pattern card that involve the cylindrical beads. Which are a lovely size for esophageal obstruction, and my little man (who is 5 and has problems with impulse control, chewing, and risk assessment) kept running off with them the moment he sat down and popping them in his mouth. His first stop with one of the beads was my yoga ball where he proceeded to bounce it into the back of his throat, and with another he ran up the stairs and coughed it into the back of his throat. Because he's quick, he got away from the table those two times before I could grab him, and I was fortunately able to still reach him and the bead quick enough to sweep it before it went down. The moral of the story is I think this is a great toy for fine motor, but depending on the nature of your child's disabilities there is definitely an element of risk that you can not turn your back on. Pretty much ever. So since he is a chewer, I can say the paint holds up well enough for those times he's managed to get one in his mouth. I think this is a great multi functional teaching tool for a typically developing child as well as one with specialized needs. It's good for patterns, colors, shapes, fine motor, and creativity, and as it also has had no quality control issues, it is definitely a 5 star toy with supervision if needed.

Fun learning activity
My child really enjoys playing with these lacing letters. It is fun to search for the letter you want and then spell words as you string the letters on the durable lace. My child enjoyed looking for the letters of their name and putting it together on the string. It helps them practice their letters and spelling all while flexing those fine motor skills. The tub is a good size with plenty of letters to choose from. I definitely recommend these.

Great quality, but wish the tape on the laces was longer
I am very happy with the quality of the letter beads and the laces. However, the aglet/taped-off part is too short for my Kindergartebers to easily lace the letters like “m” and “w” that have more holes. It was difficult for me to get the lace through all 3 holes which are placed close together on the bead as is reasonable for the letter shape. Again, quality is great, but it is difficult to build words or names with the letters that are wider or that have more consecutive holes in the bead.

Big hit in my niece's kindergarten classroom!
I got this for my niece's kindergarten, where they're very academically focused, to go in their language "center". They have letter stamps there and letter hole punches, so I thought it would fit right in. I chose lowercase because the teacher commented to me that a lot of children come to school knowing capital letters, but what they *really* need to know are lowercase letters because we use them so often. (Parents of preschoolers, take note!) She told me just the other day that they're a big hit. The kids love making words (and building important fine-motor skills in the process - lacing helps you practice the tripod grip and it's a good life-skill as well) and then turning them into bracelets and whatnot :) One problem - the aglets (the plastic-covered parts) on the laces are a smidge too short to go through the longest letters, w and m. You have to kinda shove by the lace, and that's a pain. Still, it's not totally insurmountable.

Perfect for building hand strength!
These are a fun actually to build hand strength and practice letter recognition. They’re bright, colorful and a lot of each letter. There’s multiple activities to do with them so it’s worth the amount you pay. We can’t wait to use these for years to come.

I love using this toy with my kids. I used to use it in with my students too. I think it's a fun way to get used to the letters of the alphabet, especially the lowercase ones that they'll need most of the time. There are a lot of pieces and they are easy for kids to thread. I recommend it!

This was used in my Kindergarten class and were very helpful. My students used them to make their names during the first week of school. They were the perfect fine motor activity, especially for kids who can’t yet print letters.

Juego ideal para los peques cuando empiezan a formar palabras. El cordón cuesta mucho entrarlo, lo he sustituido por otros más finos y largos. Pero a mis alumnos les ha encantado hacerse collares con palabras
