Great flashback easy to hold, durable, brighter than expected

I'm so glad I chose this flashlight. I needed a good one that didn't need to be charged (so done with having to charge everything). I read thru many & this one is what i choose. I definitely recommend this flashlight.

Odd event lead to me getting this one. I had a similar one, but the Duracell batteries leaked and could not get the batteries out - too tight a fit, even tried drilling and putting in a screw to yank them out - to no avail (so warning on any tube style flashlight - a leaky battery can doom it). Plenty bright, what is nice is you don't have to go through all the 'modes' to get to the one you want. Just push the button slightly and you can skip to 'off'. And a name I know too.

One of the best lights that I have ever had!

I ordered two of these and have tested them. The casing is excellent as is the mechanism for adjusting a wider or narrower beam. However, they did not have two brightness settings as advertised, just on and off. I'm not sure whether the setting I have is the higher brightness or the lower brightness but the flashlights do provide a good level of brightness for my purposes. So I'm not returning them but I must deduct one star for the lack of the advertised ability to adjust intensity level.

Ive been doing termite work and inspections for the last 25 years. Ive gone through many many lights. Some cheap ones and some expensive ones that crapped out after the 2nd battery change. Approximately 5 years ago my company gave me this light. Never had an issue. My lights are on and off about 200 times a day. I just recently bought a new one not because the old one stopped working but because I replaced my personal truck light with this. Ive dropped it from a window, got buried in mud under a house. Indestructible. I always carry backup lights but this is my #1

So far so good. Purchased (4) and put in (3) Energizer "C" Batteries in each flashlight and they all worked. Impressive beam (1000 lumens). Comes with a lanyard (you attach). Adjustable Zoom In and Out Beam works good. 2 settings of brightness. End of flashlight can get hot after being on as probably most Zoom flashlights could. Now to see how long they last....Too early to tell about Battery Life and Durability but so far so good.

First one received was dead on arrival and was replaced by Amazon. I like the features this has- adjustable focus, good brightness, good battery life, good price, a low and a high setting and a rugged case. I received my replacement on February 14 of this year and I'm now having problems with it, even though it has not been subjected to weather or dropping. A few days ago brightness reduced to a tenth of what it was previously and two new sets of batteries have not resolved that issue. This flashlight is now essentially useless. I cannot recommend this light as it is not dependable. I would look for a different brand as that is what I am going to do based on my poor experience with it. How many times do you want to buy something? I like to buy something once, take good care of it, and use it for many years. You probably will not be able to successfully do this with the FeitElectric FL1000. So I'm very disappointed with this product. This review has been posted for months and no one has contacted me so if you have an issue with this product do not expect company support! Will not buy Feit brand ever again.
