Tall Raised Panel Dog Steps, Carpeted Tread with a Rich Cherry Stain, 17-Inch

I purchased these steps for my 9Ib Pomeranian Chihuahua. My reason for this purchase was because he needs a way to get up on the sofa with me safely. Height and step depth were my biggest concerns. My little dog has very short legs and choosing stairs is always a challenge because they are always too steep without enough depth in the step. When these stairs arrived he was a little frightened at first because we were changing up his little setup from the crummy set that had broken. It took several hours before he felt confident enough to climb them but did so just perfectly. The carpeting is perfect for gripping each step and not slipping. The depth of each step is absolutely perfect for him to comfortably move to the bottom without feeling like they are too steep. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I truly believe the quality of these stairs is just wonderful. They are heavy but in a good solid way. They are not going to slip while he is using them. Shipping was absolutely perfect, quick and they arrived in perfect condition.

These stairs are the best. My three aging toy Poodles really appreciate the boost to their favorite places - I have three sets of these stairs. They are very substantial and well-built. The dogs learned to appreciate them and use them daily very quickly. I had used other, less substantial stairs before these, and they tended to be flimsy, tended to slide around, and the dogs were not comfortable using them. These stairs work beautifully - and they are attractive and unobtrusive to your decor.

Very sturdy and solid, looks like a piece of furniture and fits right in with the rest of the bedroom furniture. We have a Dachshund, so would have liked them a little wider, but he is used to steps that were built for him in our other bedroom , so he didn't have any trouble using them.

This is a well made set of steps that the dog will actually use. It is a little pricey, but is solid and the dog trusts it.

The wood is solid, it will support the weight of whatever dog you give it. That's the great news!The Maker has contacted me and is addressing the problem I had with their affixing of the carpet and how that chosen carpet responded to the contour of the steps. His prompt action sounds like we're headed for a good outcome and so it's likely I will be revising this review to be high; as pointed out it's already exceptionally sturdy (made to last a lifetime). Add to a solid product a manufacturer/merchant who is into after-sales-service and that's a big plus in my book because things can always happen, and when they do it's the responsive "make it right" people who make the difference with any product. If we have that here then I can endorse this product to future buyers.

I was very excited to receive these steps to allow both myself and my English bulldogs on my new tall bed. Unfortunately I was very disappointed once it arrived. Firstly, the dark color of the stain pictured in the listing looks nothing like the cheap color of the piece I received. Secondly, upon opening the package, there were shards of wood scattered all over the place. An entire side panel had broken off, leaving screws exposed (pictured below). On the same side, the entire back was not joined properly, and wood was chipped off (also pictured below). There were other areas where wood was chipped and dented. I am very dissatisfied and working on the return of this annoyance.

We ordered these for our aging Dachshund. They are perfect. They are heavy enough that they don't move when he uses them and they are carpeted to add a little cushioning. They are study and the perfect height for our sofa and bed. The price is worth it!

Sturdy and useful. The steps easily support the weight of my larger, heavier dogs, and they keep the dogs from having to jump up or down from the height of the bed, preventing injury. Great purchase, no regrets.
