beautiful feeders. I bought 6 to replace our old ones, and we love them.

Broke in less than a week. The birds and a squirrel managed to pull the bottom off. Very disappointing.

If rain gets in it the bird seed gets stuck together and won't come out of the feeder holes.

This is a nice bird feeder, however, if it rains or is damp at all the food will not come out into the tray. The birds would sit on it and try and try to get the food out. I am very disappointed because I love the feeder. It is sturdy and it's a lovely design. It is very easy to fill. It was perfect....until it rained. I know I should be more 'attentive' to a feeder, but the other one I have and the one this one replaced NEVER had a problem like this. The slots where the food comes out is very wide on my old ones, this feeder has small round holes where the food should come out, but it gets stuck.I'd like to give this feeder 5 stars for all of it's other features but due to the food not flowing freely, I had to give it less stars.

Poorly made. Very difficult for the birds to get the seed. Mine broke within 1 month.

Seed stay wet from rain and requires cleanout all the time.

UPDATE 10/01/16: While this bird feeder is very pleasing to the eye, it has to be kept under an area with a roof or covering to keep the water out. If water gets in the bottom tray the seeds will start to sprout and clog up the holes in the feeder. I had to clean it out several times and each time it happened again. I then come to the conclusion that it's a nice feeder if it's kept under an awning, roof or covering so that minimal water gets in the holes. It's not great on a tree limb or shepherds hook.My husband and daughter love to watch the spring time birds when he drinks his morning coffee on our porch. This bird feeder was a wonderful replacement for the one we had to throw away. Our old one was several years old and had holes rusted in the bottom so I had to get rid of it back in the fall.This metal feeder features a copper colored frame and dome shaped top. There is a button on the tiny pine cone on the top that will allow you to move the top up and down the coated wire hanger for filling. Under the copper dome is a cylindrical plastic food chute, this is where the seed goes. I was very impressed with the strength and durability of this feeder. It was extremely easy to setup, I just pulled it out of the box and it was ready to fill.The feeder was so simple to fill with seeds that once I pulled the top up my 4 year old daughter did the filling. I replaced the top for her and she was also able to easily hang it on the shepherds hook in our back yard. The unit is so light that she was even able to handle it full of seeds. So, if a 4 year old can handle it full then it should be easy for the elderly to handle as well. I can't wait for the springtime birds to find it and enjoy the food.Overall, I highly recommend this feeder by ChirpyChirp for your backyard feathered friends.
