Check the size of the fitting before purchasing.
It works fine but my lamp had a larger "pipe" than this switch is made for. I solved the problem by taking the actual switch out of the "shell" of this one and put it in the old housing. Popped the insulating paper/cardboard back place and popped it together and I'm back in business.Just what I needed and now I know there are two sizes of threaded pipes on lamps.

how about a 3-way…..lamp?
whip out a screwdriver, this is exactly what’s needed when you’ve decided it’s time to get that lamp going with what should be years of 3-way bulbs illumination.step 1: unplug the lamp and tuck the cord into your pocket until you’re all done!

Very chintzy
All plastic. I reused the metal base with the set screw from my lamp. The rest fit together just fine. Basically you get what you pay for, but problem solved.
