Caulking Tape
Works great. But after a few months, if it's used closely with water, like around the sink or bathtub, it'll have to be replaced because mold will get under it.

It works perfect (if used correctly)
Please pay attention to the instructions. Do not pull or stretch the tape during installation because it will strink back to it's original length and cause a bad result just like some of the photos I'm seeing. Also, you must make sure the area is clean (like as in super clean, use angreen scotch bright pad with cleaner and follow up with a magic eraser and dry with a microfiber towel and allow it to dry overnight or use a hair dryer to dry any excess moisture up). If you're using this product you either don't like to caulk, don't know how to caulk with clean lines or you don't want a large line of actual caulk showing. This is a good alternative and it legitimately works as long as you apply it correctly. It will not last forever (real caulk doesn't last forever and has to be replaced because of shrinkage, rot and stains) so don't think you're going to put this in and have it last for life. This stuff is actually less expensive than a tube of white silicone caulk which makes this a good alternative for those looking to save a few bucks and it can't last a while if it's used correctly.Me personally. I used comet and a green scrubber pad to clean my work area. I risnserd it with clean water and used a microfiber cloth to hand dry. After it was dry I used running alcohol on a microfiber towel to wipe the area I intended to use this. I let it dry (white or apple cider vinegar will also work and it allows the area to dry quickly because alcohol and vinegar evaporate rapidly). I used my hair dryer on high heat with an extension cord and spent a couple of minutes going around the area I was placing this.Once it was clean and dry I unrolled the caulk tape and lined the area I intended to use it to make sure it was a proper fit (do not pull the sticky yet) one I had it in the area I intended to use it I put the hair dryer on medium heat with high fan and used it to help flex/mold/bend the strip so that it would be molded into the shape I needed. This process was quick and easy, it took less time than caulking (you still have to clean throughly before applying new caulk plus dig out the old caulk) so the caulk tape is quicker. If you do the steps I mentioned above (which it also says in small lettering to do these things on the package) then you will have a fantastic professional looking result. Some of you may have bought this for instant gratification it seems but please advise that you must do the prep work. It's important because the goal is to protect against excess water and or moisture so you would want to skip these steps if you were actually trying to protect your home. I will post pictures soon with an install video

hard to fold well
I installed this in 2 places. It was hard to align it perfectly because the vinyl simply does not fold well. The middle is marked by a line, but the thick material resists being shaped. That being said, the 2 places where I used it do look better than before, even if the "caulk" not perfectly straight. The old caulk was crumbling or missing, and a bathroom sink had pulled away from the wall. This stuff looks better. The caulk seemed very sticky, but I'll see have to see how it survives the humidity of summer. Bonus benefit: the strip I used along a 5-ft kitchen counter will block tiny ants that will try to enter in the spring.

It worked!! Looks great!
This product is great! I used it around my master bedroom toilet which was cruddy. The old silicone caulk just wouldn't stay nice, no matter how I cleaned it. This product was exactly what I needed. It was the right height and width to make it look like a professional job. Now, I am an old lady, so getting down on my knees was a challenge, but I was determined to make the base of my toilet look good. So I put my knees on a pillow and started. Followed the directions and the tape went down neatly, gripped tightly and was easy for me to do. The only mishap was when a couple of inches along the top would not stick as I was rounding the front of the toilet. It was my fault because I got my fingers stuck to the adhesive in that area and it would no longer stick. I tried the blow drier but it didn't work and I was afraid to use too much heat on it, in fear that the other portions would un-stick. So Super Glue to the rescue! I just added a few drops on the back of the tape that wasn't sticking, pressed it against the toilet and voila! Perfect!! I would highly recommend this tape. I have 2 more toilets to go!

Just what I needed
I am tired of white caulking turning yellow overtime in the boys bathroom. I just got new vinyl plank flooring put in and they put a weak caulking bead around the toilet and I had this product ready to go because I wanted to try something different. I followed other people’s advice about using a hairdryer to warm up the product and make it stretchy, and I used a soft microfiber cloth to push the product all around. Anytime I didn’t like how it laid down I would peel back a little bit and redirect it. Overall, it looks great. Just what I needed. I hope it last!
