Mirafit Black 20kg Studio Pump Set - For Aerobic Weights Exercise

I wanted a barbell to use at home to practise lifts - barbell squats, barbell hip thrusts, deadlifts and for general fitness and strength building outside of the gym. I saw this and really liked the idea of the padded bar which is good for squats. I'm really glad I purchased this. It's a good size and weight - 2x5kg, 2x2.5kg and 2x1.25kg with the bar and collars it amounts to 20kg as advertised. Although it states that it's 20kg max, I had a look on the Mirafit store and it says the max load for the bar is 40kg. They appear to be the same bar when compared. I bought extra weights to go on mine. The bar seems very stable and comfortable to use. I think it's a really reasonably priced, too. Really pleased with the service. I thought it might be delivered in 2 parts as previous customers had said theirs did but mine came together and within a couple of days. Overall, it's a good piece kit for home use. The collars and plates are easy to add/remove. The bar diameter is 3cm so if purchasing additional plates, bear that in mind as plates are not one size fits all. You can purchase additional plates from the mirafit store or on ebay as I did. Search for mirafit studio pump plates.

Stopped going to the gym but wanted to do body pump at home and this is a great kit. Much cheaper than others and just as good and easy to use !

I'm winding down with my weight training but wanted to keep a set of weights handy. I was really pleased when this set arrived. The bar is big enough for a wide grip but narrow enough to use in the house. The bar, weight plates and collars are well made and nice to handle.A really nice looking weight lifting set. The bar arrived first. Quickly followed by the weight plates and collars. I wouldn't be without it!

I bought this bar and set of plates so that I could do Les Mills Body Pump online at home.It comes with 2 x 5kg, 2 x 2.5kg, 2 x 1.25kg plates - totalling 17.5kg, not 20kg. (Maybe they are counting the bar and clips too.) I would have preferred them being colour coded, but black is okay. The plates are covered in a sort of plastic which seems quite sturdy.The bar doesn't seem to weigh much at all and is slightly padded. I like the padding, which makes resting the bar on my shoulders for squats more comfortable.The plates slide on and off really easily and the clips are easy to use and reliable. At first the clips were stiff, but after using them a couple of times, they loosened a bit so that were exactly right.I've tried and given up trying to use the plates as though they were dumbbells. Maybe if you have quite large fingers and no arthritis...It's advertised for use with aerobic weights exercises and I think it's perfect for that.If you want to do a few reps with a heavy bar, don't buy this and complain that it's rubbish.If it's not clear already, I'm really happy with this purchase.
