4-piece Forged Steel Cutlery Knife Set (Red)

Every single one of these knives had a crack in the handle when it arrived. Obviously, there is no quality control with Mad Hungry products. Will never order anything from them again. They arrived very quickly after ordering. That's the only positive thing I can say.

I like this little set of knives very much. They feel solid in my hand, the wooden handles are finished in a cool reddish color, and slicing and cutting with them is easy on the hands, in fact a pleasure. At thsi price I wasn't expecting much, and nobody paid me to give this opinion, but I found it a great deal.

2.5 stars, I rounded up.The packaging suggests these are not very nice knives. You couldn't give them as a gift.Not dull, but not real sharp. I hope to replace them with better knives soon.Come to think of it, 2.5 stars might be generous.*I paid full price and this is my honest review.

I like them but like most knives you see others cut tomatoes with them in thin slices , they don't do it for me but they are solid and sharp , I would buy them again

good set of little knives. I havent tested or sharpened them yet to test quality of steel. gift for my daughter a fledgling chef!

I love the fact that these are forged steel, and that the tang goes all the way through the handle. I'm not as happy with the handles themselves. Mine feel like plastic, and not a nice quality plastic. I don't understand why so much work was put into the blades, but not into their handles. They look great from a distance, but just don't feel right to me. I am a bit picky with my cutlery, I used to sell high quality knives so I'm choosy and usually wouldn't buy them without handling them. I also am not sure I like what the set comes in. These four knives are really not exactly what i use most. But, they are sharp and that is great. And of course the brand name of Mad Hungry is perfect for the kitchen. Anyway, they are good so far but I don't know how long the handles will last with a lot of use, but if you don't use them much they should last forever.I was given a discount in exchange for an honest review.
