Updated to 5 Stars
Original- I received this with an Echo Dot and was excited to try it. Initial setup was simple and the light worked for just over a month. Now Alexa says "Light isn't responding" and I have to manually turn the lamp on and off. I've tried the Five rapid on/off reset. It blinks to confirm the reset, Alexa finds the light again, but still says the light won't respond. I was going to be 5 more of these but I'm glad I didn't. Waste of time and money. Update- Make certain the bulb is set up on the standard 2.4Ghz network and not your router's 5G network. The bulb will work intermittently on the 5G network. I had my router set to automatically broadcast only the faster network based on number of devices connected and determined that the bulb was failing only when the 5G network was the solely broadcasted network. Since changing my router setting to simultaneously broadcast both networks and setting up the bulb on the 2.4ghz network, I've had zero issues whatsoever. These are a great value and work as advertised. Much better than the Feit Electric branded bulbs.

Love these bulbs!
I recently bought an Alexa Dot and love the convenience it offers. I find i play music more over Alexa than i do my system in the adjacent room (with several remotes to work it). I received one Sengled bulb with my Dot. It connected to Alexa so easily and quickly i now have it on a daily schedule managed by Alexa. I then purchased 2 more lights but they wouldn't connect and i realized they were not bluetooth enabled and so returned them. A day later my new bluetooth enabled Alexa Sengled bulbs arrived. One connected easily the other one i put in my bedroom would not connect via Alexa trying to discover it. I then went to my Alexa app on my phone and it was there but still not working properly. I did what the instructions say to do if you have difficulties connecting - i turned my light on and off quickly several times and then it would start flashing. I tried connecting several times this way and it finally worked via the app. You can then go into your app and edit the name of Light one or light two to whatever makes sense to you. By the way, you can ask Alexa to go in whisper mode so if your partner falls asleep you can whisper to Alexa to 'turn off bedroom light' and she will whisper her confirmation back to you as the light goes off. Very cool!

Simple setup and works perfectly with Alexa!
I haven't fully integrated this Sengled bulb into my daily lighting setup yet, but I did give it a thorough test to see how it performs. The 'S1 Auto Pairing' feature is no joke—as soon as I powered it on, my Alexa device recognized it almost instantly. It’s truly a plug-and-play experience, which is great if you don't want to deal with complicated hubs or third-party apps. During my test, the connection was stable and the voice commands worked without any noticeable lag. The brightness is solid for a smart bulb, and it responded perfectly to dimming and switching on/off via the Echo. Even though it’s sitting as a backup for now, I’m confident it’ll do the job when I decide to swap out my current bulbs. If you're looking for a hassle-free smart light that plays nice with the Amazon ecosystem, this is a very reliable and affordable option.

Update: doesn't work well with old echos?
I had to return these because they did not work longer than a day with my echo dot 2, but amazon let me keep a bulb when I tried returning it, so when I got the new echo pop, I thought I would give the bulb another shot with the new device and it has been working flawlessly for days now, I expect it to continue. so while I got my money refunded, the least I can do is update my review. With my old echo dot 2, they work for an hour and then disconnect. you have to reset the bulbs and add them back to alexa twice a day. maybe the old device is just worn out, maybe its an older bluetooth standard that doesn't work as well. idk. but the echo pop connects to it without error for days now. it does seem to disconnect the bluetooth speaker ever so often though, but idk if that is actually the bulb doing that. I now have a cat bowl light for when im away or asleep that also turns on when the motion sensor in my cat box is tripped, so I know my cat is in there

These bulbs are important safety features!
I had been considering buying wifi/Alexa bulbs but viewed them as an amusement item, just another device. When I got this bulb, I half heartedly reviewed the install instructions. It's a bulb, nothing exciting. A standard bulb was in the lamp, so I ensured that it was turned on, then turned it off. Couldn't remember if the lamp was a 3-way, so I was checking. I have Alexa Dots in almost every room, they are several years old so maybe they are 3rd generation. I asked her, she doesn't know. I put this bulb in the lamp and turned it on, used the Alexa app to discover the bulb. Nada. Several tries. Nada. I discontinued the Vintage Radio that I was listening to via Alexa. Apparently she doesn't multitask. Alexa found the bulb right away. Tested it a few times, all good. I quickly discovered that this bulb is not just another amusement! My husband has alzheimer and Alexa is a great asset for helping him to manage without me having to constantly repeat the same things all day, everyday. His balance problems and lack of logic makes for precarious conditions after dark. He has to do relays from one light source to the other, walking is difficult for him and we have many steps from one room to the next. Now, he can say, Alexa turn the lights on, from anywhere in the house and she lights up his path. So much easier and safer! He doesn't have to go back and turn lights off, he tells Alexa to do it. I highly recommend these bulbs, especially for a physically challenged person! I no longer view these bulbs as a luxury amusement item. They are absolutely a safety feature in any home! Some people, like seniors, are resistant or reluctant or forgetful regarding electronics. Husband yells or walks to tell me something rather than intercom via Alexa. This light bulb is so much easier for him, and it amuses him, that he more readily uses Alexa. A bonus teaching tool. I put tape on the wall switches to remind him to not turn them off. The set up is very easy, Alexa does the task for you. Some people are not electronics inclined and I suspect that this is the usual reason for difficulties. A friend of mine gets extremely frustrated very quickly. When I connect her Alexa Show I'm going to install one of these bulbs at the same time. Her husband has alzheimer much worse than mine and I want to teach him how to call her and turn the lights on. Yup! These bulbs are a necessity!

Bugs if you have an older Echo.
I got one of these for a friend, and it was working great for a week, so I thought I'd pick up a few more. At my house, it set up easily at first, but then it stopped working. I traced part of the problem to the fact that it seems to be pairing with only a single one of my amazon echos -- my Echo Show 1st gen. Unfortunately, this Echo Show is flakey and goes down every now and again. When it goes down, this led light bulb stops working. Even though I have several other echos that are supposed to be able to talk to the light bulb, they won't. That's not all of the trouble though. When the Echo Show 1st gen comes back on, it doesn't seem to re-connect to the light bulb right away. Perhaps it would eventually, but it doesn't reconnect in a couple of minutes. Maybe it won't ever. This would seem to be a problem not just for flakey Echos, but also for power outages. Another issue is that the light bulb refuses to pair with any other Echo besides my Echo Show 1st gen -- even if I reset the light bulb. If the Echo Show 1st gen is unplugged, the light bulb can't be discovered by Alexa. After connecting the light bulb and then turning off my Echo Show 1st gen, Alexa also seems to temporarily forget the name of the light. It's still in my list of lights on the Alexa App, but I can no longer ask Alexa to turn it on or off by name. This seems to fix itself in a little while. And of course the light won't turn on or off from the app when I've turned off that one Echo Show 1st gen that it seems to rely on. So I initially decided that this light bulb should be avoided right now -- but further experimentation changed my mind. (Amazon support was useless. I had to figure this all out on my own.) Edit: I finally did manage to get a different echo to connect to the bulb via bluetooth. What seemed to do it is (1) unplug the echo you don't want it to be connected to. (2) reset the bulb by flicking it on and off five times, at which point it blinks three times to verify the reset. (3) unplugging the echo that you want it to connect to, and then plugging it back in to reset that echo. This seems to make it forget that some other echo was connected to the bulb. (4) asking that echo to "find my devices". (5) plugging the echo that the bulb was originally connected to back in. Additional Edit: after making sure the light bulb was paired via bluetooth to a newer Echo Show 5 instead of my old Echo Show 1st gen, the LED light now works well. If the power goes out to the Echo Show 5, the light bulb stops working while it's rebooting but then starts working again as soon as the Echo Show 5 is working again. So there won't be a problem with power outages like when it was paired with the Echo Show 1st gen. I believe the reason many people are having problems with these bulbs is that they have older Echo devices and the bulb doesn't work well if it becomes paired with an older Echo. So when you first set one of these bulbs up, I recommend you temporarily turn off all your oldest Echo devices so that when you discover the bulb it doesn't pair with one of them. This is the only way I know to have control over which Echo it pairs with. If you want to know which Echo it actually did pair with, try unplugging an Echo. If it's the one the bulb is paired with, the bulb will no longer be controllable from any Echo or the Alexa App, until you turn that Echo back on. Although turning the Echo back on may not restore operation. As I said, it does restore operation when paired with my Echo Show 5, but it does not restore operation when paired with my Echo Show 1st gen. I'm raising the review to 3 stars, since it appears now that it can be made to work reliably if you own a newer Echo device and turn older Echo devices off during pairing. I'd give it 5 stars if they actually had instructions and warnings guiding people through these perils. I appreciate that this light bulb doesn't come with a privacy policy. Many of the other bulbs do, since they can only be set up from an App with a EULA and privacy policy and connections to who-knows-where on the internet.

Easy Alexa Setup & Very Handy Features
I’m really pleased with this Sengled Smart Bulb. The price point is very good, and the product works exactly as described. Connecting it to Alexa was quick and effortless it truly works like a dream. I use mine on my bedside table for reading, and the dimmable settings are perfect. I love being able to set a timer so the light gently dims when it’s time for bed (helps me not lose track while reading!). I also have it programmed to turn on when I go to bed, so I don’t need to switch on my main bedroom light. Another bonus is using the timer when I’m away on holidays it adds a nice layer of security by making it look like someone’s home. I can control it easily from my phone or just by asking Alexa, which is super convenient. Overall, it’s definitely worth the money and makes a great addition to a smart home setup, whether it’s your first smart device or one of many.

Destroyed expensive lamps
I bought this as it ticket all the compatibly boxes of my new £250 lamp. It sparked and destroyed my lamp! Thankfully Wayfair refunded fully, as I blamed the lamp. Just to be sure, I had another bedroom lamp that had the same specs required, it broke that lamp! Which was part of a set and no longer selling. This cheap second rate bulbs had ended up costing me over £300!
