I was skeptical when I came across this device, that it could actually make cold brew without the overnight “steeping” in the refrigerator. But lo and behold, the Vinci knows no boundaries! This is some of the best coffee I have ever had. The coffee is bursting with flavor, and very low acid. Crisp, clean and cold in 5-8 minutes for my light brew. From what I’ve read it would be about 20 minutes for the highest setting - “extra bold”. And I love watching my cream mix with the cold brew. I got a coffee grinder with a coarse grind setting and just buy whole beans. Which is a little cheaper than buying special bags of cold brew coffee beans, and opens up a whole world of coffee flavor options. It does take a lot of coffee to brew. But you end up with a whole carafe of coffee that can be stored in the fridge in its lovely glass carafe. I would buy this a thousand times over. I am so happy with this coffee maker! Easy prep and clean up. But you do need to clean it out right away if you don’t want to clog it up. I will meticulously pamper this device until it dies, and then I will buy another. Vive le café!

This brewer makes wonderful cold brew FAST. I had been using a French Press for 12-24 hours, now I have delicious concentrate in about 25 minutes with no grounds at the bottom. The Vinci makes a really generous amount and I store the carafe in the frig door till used up. The Instruction booklet is detailed with large illustrations to prevent misuse. They even provided a Cleaning Cup to securely hold the Control lid and filter while you are sealing the top on the carafe and to clean the Control Lid.I have found it very easy to dump the grounds by simply removing the filter basket top and turning it upside down over the trash. The bottom is also removable. These pieces are easily cleaned in warm soapy water till the next brew. You then use the Cleaning Cup to clean the Control Lid with some fresh water.I bought a small Curver Infinity storage box to keep the Control Lid safe in between brewing cycles, and to keep all the pieces in one place including the Instructions.I'd give 10 stars if I could. This would make a terrific gift for cold brew lovers!

This is a game changer if you brew your own cold brew coffee. I was brewing a batch of cold brew every weekend by the 24 hour refrigerator method. It was delicious, but I ran out before the week was up and had to supplement my morning ritual with a coffee concentrate, which was delicious, but very expensive on a monthly basis. Then I found this little gem. I can brew two batches in less than an hour. (I use the extra bold setting because I like to have iced coffee with a little hazelnut creamer every morning/2 cups) Clean up is super easy. I don't have to filter the finished product, which was always a pain. I've read a few reviews saying the pump fails after a few months. I've owned mine going on two months now and everything is working great. It has a one year warranty, so I can get it replaced within that time frame, and to be honest, if if failed after 366 days of service, I would definitely purchase again. I love it that much. As far as taste, it makes a great brew. This has more to do with the coffee you choose. I've tried a dark roast coffee and found it was good, but not perfect. I use Bizzy smooth and sweet and it is delicious. I made a mistake on one brewing cycle. I brewed the first batch on extra bold as usual and then the second batch I forgot about and it sat on the counter for a couple of hours by mistake. I combined the two batches and the end result was some of the best cold brew I've ever made. Sometimes mistakes can be a good thing. Experiment with coffee and brewing and find what works for your taste buds. At any rate, this will make your brewing adventure so much easier.

I had a friend that purchased an Instapot version of this and loved it, but decided to compare it against this brand and this unit made hands-down superior coffee. Worth every extra cent I spent and then some. It is so easy to use, to clean, and to store.

I have to say that if I had done a review immediately upon purchase it would have been 5 stars. However, after just 6 weeks of use, it is no longer working. Yes, the light goes on and turns red, but nothing happens. I have cleaned it as per the instructions, and don't even use it every day, as it is just myself. I don't drink coffee every day, and I make a full carafe, which lasts me a couple of days. Of course, the 30 day return window is gone. I am very disappointed in this purchase.** UPDATE 06/28/22 ** I contacted the company and they sent a replacement top/motor for the machine. I used it for the first time two days ago and all is working fine. The customer service was quick and very responsive. So, for now, I am changing my rating to a five, and will update in future to let you know if the new part continues to work as it should. And yes, I still love the coffee and that it is cold brew!**UPDATE 08/25/22*** Since my last update, I have had to replace the carafe which leaked. Now for the past week, the top /motor unit leaks coffee all over my counter while it is brewing. This is the second unit in 4 months time. It will not work at all as of this morning. The company has been very responsive every time I have reached out, but I just cannot continue to support this product. I will be looking for another cold brew machine. I wish I had not spent the money on this one.
