Better than my last one
I've had one of these type of wood folding leg for many years. Even after having it break a couple of times, repairing it w/a few screws, glue, and it still has been holding up (sort-of). It was totally time to get a replacement, and the angle lift option was the selling point to convince me. This is a very similar construction to the old one I had but it actually feels like it's put together even better. I thought the angle option may end up being unstable or loose enough that I might not trust it, but it's nice and sturdy like I hoped. These are great for me because I always have 20 different little items I'm putting in the same place--small cables, remotes, parts & hardware for something I'm fixing, junk from my pockets, etc.--and I can just pick up ALL of the clutter items at once and move them to another spot with these mini tables. This is super sturdy and I do trust it. The legs aren't loose or fold accidentally; nothing like that. What's great about wood construction like this is that you can always glue-it & screw-it for a repair if for some reason it gets damaged, and that way they end up lasting a long time. You won't go wrong with this. ~JSV

Great product
I use this almost every day for something. It's very useful for all sorts of things. Folds up to put away easily and cleans up easily also. Perfect height to sit across you lap while sitting or laying in bed. Even though it's wood it's not very heavy. Worth every penny I paid for it. Will be buying another one soon.

Very useful item with cheap price!
For those of you who love staying in bed while still wanting to be productive, like me, will find this product perfectly useful. This multipurpose wood adjustable lap desk could be used as a meal tray, a desk to put a laptop on, and a desk that you could put any items on before you go to sleep. The reason that I decided to purchase this product was because experiencing difficulties, when I had to use my laptop or wanted to eat something comfortably, made me think that I would love it if I have a lap desk with me. Also the price of the product is only $19.99, which is affordable for students like me. Being a college student, I always deal with much homework using technology. I spend a lot of time in my bed and I suddenly realize that I have to finish something real quick with my laptop, I just grab this adjustable lap desk. The desk is perfectly comfortable with the tray tops adjusted (only in one angle). I also love using this adjustable lap desk in the morning or late night when I eat something simple. This product is a good tray that has bulky edges so the dishes or cups would not slip out of the desk unless you accidently hit them. Another good thing about this product is that this desk is adjustable. I have so many stuffs in my room which I did not have enough space to put a desk with immobile four legs. However, I could place this adjustable lap desk between my bed and closet, which is a very narrow space. I have my friends who also purchased this and she liked using this with the legs folded on her lap. I do not use it that way, but I thought that people could use with personal taste of usage. The desk is easy to clean as well. The top surface of the desk is composed of different material that could be cleansed easily with damp cloth. On the other hand, this adjustable lap desk has cons as well. The wood quality is not as good as I expected. Few of the wood finishes are not neatly done so it is good to check right after you get this product. Also the legs do not lock in place. This would be the biggest cons with the product. I did not have any problem with legs collapsing in until now, but I thought this could be a problem if not paying attention. Despite of this, I recommend you this lap desk because you will not find a product like this anywhere else with this price.

Better than expected..comfortable,sturdy and pretty!! :)
First of all it arrived superfast , was packed very well and looked just like in the picture. The lap tray is very sturdy and it feels safe to have a dink on it when I'm sitting in bed. There is enough room to comfortable slouch under it in bed (I'm a good sized 16) and watch a movie on my laptop..which is standing on the lap tray. It is very comfortable to write this review right now BECAUSE the lap top is on the lap tray :) I had one of those Lap top tray things with adjustable legs-all metal- and it was fine..but ugly and not really big enough and unsteady ..or wobbly- as I would like to call it. Also it was too low, it was practically almost resting on my thighs when I had it propped up in bed to do lap top stuff. This one is nice sized, I have air all around and I can actually rest my arms on it without anything giving in or tripping. It folds up nice and slim and fits right between my bed and the nightstand where it's almost invisible. So..it takes no room away when not in use. When in use it is light weight but very sturdy and secure. The one side raised up for reading or writing and stays in place nicely until released into the former position. I would definitely recommend it.

Great to use as a laptop table. Much less expensive that actual computer desk.
I did not buy this to use as a breakfast table. My laptop has become unstable (the hinge on the monitor broke) so now I need something flat to set my 17 inch laptop on in order to use it. At first I thought I'd love this because of the tilt factor but turns out I prefer it in the flat position. It does indeed tilt up as in shown in the picture, what you may or may not realize is that it is an all or nothing tilt. You cannot adjust it from full tilt to slightly tilted. You simply place the medal rod and voila. For the record it did support my computer in that position I just didn't care for it. Made it hard for me to see my screen properly. The wood is what it is. It is not fabulous high quality or anything. Heck you can walk into any supper store and get the exact same quality of wood (I saw same tray at Wal-Mart it just cost more there than here so guess where my Prime self ordered). I like the plastic (or whatever the material) that is the 'tray' of the tray as I can wipe it clean with a cleaning wipe easy peasy and roll on. The legs do not lock when in the open position but nor are they loosey goosey. They stayed open when I lifted the tray and carried it from room to room, with my laptop on it. There is plenty of room for me to put my legs underneath the table when the legs are extended (and I'm a big fluffy woman). I personally don't like feeling boxed in so I usually don't unfold the legs; again it's not like I"m eating on the tray, I'm typing; so I tend to leave them folded and it sits comfortably on my lap. I do not use a blanket or any other type of cushion. This little tray has saved the day as I work online and the other tray/desk I had that goes from the floor up just a disaster. I have a reclining sofa so the legs would not fit underneath the couch. With this I'm able to set fully back on my sofa and use the recliner if I feel like it. One slight word of caution, when you get it make sure you look for little pieces of wood that did not get sanded down properly. You may need to break it off or risk getting stabbed. Nothing major. Kind of along the lines of an annoying paper cut.

great bed tray
I use the bed trays for when I work on my beading. I'm able to put my containers on it and carry it to where I will work.It works so well to put my beads in my dish and it is also very sturdy. it's like a portable table to work on.

Great quality table
I bought two of these tables for my daughters whom I homeschool. And we use them almost daily and so far nothing has broke on us! Once the legs are completely pulled out the table is very sturdy almost like they lock into place. The size is also perfect if you want to take them on the go for outdoor coloring or drawing. Highly recommend this table!

The good the bad and the splintery...
The first thing I noticed when opening the box was that it was flat top and bottom and would be easy to store! When I began pulling it out, I noticed that the wood felt prickly. The cut edges are rough and the smooth parts feel like they need more sanding. I like the versatility of the top because it will tilt for reading and drawing etc. It is comfortable enough for that. Using it as breakfast/food tray is difficult though because the tray’s legs aren’t wide enough for freedom of movement. Leaning forward in bed bed to eat is difficult with me if I have to keep my legs straight out. For a kid, the leg width and height should be fine but because it is so lightweight, it would be easy for them to knock it over and then there’s the cheaply finished splintery wood. One more thing about the legs, because they a a bit too close together, they can accidentally fold in on you. Pros-It is lightweight, the legs fold up inside so it sits flush when closed, it is free of handles and other top side apparatuses making storage very easy. Cons- It is lightweight, the leg room is can be confining, the wood is smooth but pricks the skin (potential for splinters), the frame that holds the legs is sturdy enough for gentle use but isn’t very strong.
