That being said I was quite pleased with the bar
Firstly, even though soneone claims to the contrary in the Q&A section, THIS BAR IS NOT a Buddy Capps original Texas Power Bar. It does not have the distinctive sleeve end cap that would identify it as thus. That being said I was quite pleased with the bar. It has a distinctive look with the black oxide shaft and naked steel sleeves. The knurl is pretty intense. This is great for gripping the back in squats and for bench grip but it is rough on the hands while adjusting squat grip, my hands don't glide into place. I imagine it will be great for deadlifting. Have not pulled with it yet so not sure if it will be too stiff, though Based On The Feel Of The Squat I don't think this will be the case. All in all I really like the bar and plan on buying another one soon.

Excellent power lifting bar!
Great power lifting bar! It does exactly what it is designed to do and it doesn't try to be everything to everyone. Knurling is just the right depth. It doesn't bite into my hands and doesn't slip out either. There is no whip to the bar and the ends spin enough. I like the knurling in the middle of the bar for squats and overhead presses. If you're looking for a bar for deadlifts, squats, bench press, rows, grinding out reps, etc. this is your bar. (I was originally looking at the Rogue 2.0 but it was out of stock, and I am very satisfied with this, but my focus is strength conditioning, not cross-fit.) It is built like a tank and you can load it up with weight as you progress. If you're looking to mostly do olympic style lifts... snatches, clean & jerks, cross fit, explosive movements, etc., you're looking for an Olympic bar not a Power bar... You want a barbell that has a bit of internal flexibility (whip) and the ends spin a lot to compensate for being thrust around quickly, so the rotation of the plates doesn't pull you of balance.Advanced lifters will eventually want one bar of each type (Power Bar and Whippy Bar). If you buy a basic bar you will replace it as you progress, so just decide now where you want to start and buy a good bar for that purpose. This bar is a great value for the cost and a great investment in a better future you.

Top notch Powerlifting Bar
This bar has deep knurlings, spins freely, and is a great combo bar for Bench/Squat/Deadlift. You can't go wrong with a Texas Power Bar.
