I love this belt
I am building a prototype machine, and it has a very small (1 In.) pulley on the motor, which can spin up to 10K RPM. A regular 3L V-belt was just too stiff to make that bend, especially at that speed. I was thinking I would have to make a radical design change because of this. I searched for a more flexible belt to run in the present pulleys, and I found this. I had seen these before, but didn't know much about them.Wow! these things are great! It wrapped around that tiny pulley nicely, With a regular V-belt, I would have to disassemble the machine to replace it, but with this you just hook the ends together. It runs smoothly, and with five feet, I have enough for another belt.It was simple to install - I just took a length close to what I needed, and removed links until it was just right. I suppose I might have to remove another after it runs in and tightens up at the joints.

Excellent replacement for standard v-belts!
I've got a couple of drill presses, but my smaller bench model is a Taiwan import that, while quite well made for its era (late 80s?) it was saddled with some terrible v-belt from the previous owner, and poorly adjusted. I wanted a replacement, but found that 3/8" belts were not the typical link-belt size. Fortunately, Jason Industrial has them in 3/8" so I ordered up a pack to give it a go.I was already familiar with these belts, as I use their 1/2" counterpart on my 1947 Craftsman press, for which they work fantastically. That said, the 3/8" belt is a slightly different animal than its 1/2" counterpart, namely for the fact that they are a bit more rigid and that their smaller size makes them more difficult to work with. Nevertheless, the added effort is definitely worth it. My drill press now purrs like a kitten, with no discernible vibrations and no more belt noise. If you're looking for smaller, 3/8" replacement belts, look no further, these are the ones to get. Would buy them again without hesitation.

THE link belt.
Good price, good item, very easy to install, reduced vibration on my old Craftsman so it passes the penny test now, pretty impressive for a 60 yrs old machine, isn't it? Using it for about a year in quite harsh environment, no problems whatsoever. When choosing a link belt, make sure a pulley groove's top is wider than the belt. Say, your pulley is 1/2" at the top, so the belt should be 1/16" less, so it can drop approximately to the middle of the groove height.

HERE'S THE LOW DOWN WITH THESE
FIRST- WARNING!!! for a typical table saw with a three belt pulley you will need MORE than the amount provided here - you will have to buy this TWICE!! HOWEVER - two may well suffice ...SECONDtricky to get the right size but the 3/8" seems to be the best fit for my Unisaw and Powermatic 66 tablesaw pulleys. Surprising since i thought half inch would be correct.THIRDwhen installing do the following - figure out your optimal length for your setup - then if you need to match it like with a three belt pulley - then take it apart again in order to match your next ones - it's damned near impossible to do that when they are 'closed' ... anyway - next - after you've done a test fit and then made the others you need - FLIP IT over so the 'teeth' point inwards - and loosen tension on your pulleys and snug them over one by one until you get into your desired orientation.DO NOT TRY TO CONNECT THESE IN PLACE OVER THE PULLEY. YOU WILL SWEAR LIKE YOU WON'T BELIEVE!!! Do it off the pulley.also - they aren't as hard to connect as people would have you believe - but use needle nose pliers - makes things MUCH EASIER - and do the 'connecting' with 'teeth' out then flip to install - careful though! it's easy to change orientation when it's on the pulley by mistake and impossible to flip back - so just go easy ... and good luck!

Shipped with an inside-out set you must fix
Would be five stars if the 3/8" size wasn't shipped looped inside out. As is, when you attempt to install it, it desperately tries to turn itself inside out like it was shipped; if you have to reach a loop around a pulley you can't access directly it's impossible to install it correctly because of this packing error. I had to wrap it around a stick and clamp it there for hours before I was able to fish it around the pulley under my brush mower engine. However, I bought another length that I am sure I'll need eventually for some other machine. That length is currently wrapped right-side-out in a pail to prepare it. Once you've fixed this problem it works very well.

Works great on my sewing machine.
Purchased for an industrial sewing machine - Singer 132k6. Fits like a glove and allows me to switch between different size drive pulleys. Also nice to know that if it does stretch I can pull out a link instead of crawling under the table to adjust the motor mounts. I can't imagine it won't last since this is a slow running application (servo motor) but if I have any issues I will update this review.

This is an EXCELLENT Link Belt
Purchased over the most common competing brand on the basis of price, I found the Accu-Link every bit as good as the other at a good cost saving. I've used link belts in the past, but this was the first time I've one this small. It's more of a challenge than the larger belts! I suggest keeping a pair of needle nose pliers on hand!Great quality. Very tough. Smooth and quiet-running.Highly Recommended.

Had I measured the area better, this could have been completed much quicker
I purchased the item to use in place of the regular fan belt on a B model Kubota tractor. By doing so I did not have to remove the radiator, hydraulic pump shaft coupler, It was a bit tricky to remove a link or two and reverse the segmented belt while aligned with pulleys in a small area. Had I measured the area better, this could have been completed much quicker.I have had the belt in place for some ten hours and it seems to perform well.If this continues to work well, I would recommend it over regular fan belts not only for applications that require intensive procedures to replace belts but, to keep one in the tool box for quick repairs such as for tractors or boat engines.Good product, thanks,B Stough
