Does what it says on the tin,
Was nervous about painting raw MDF for the first time and did a bit of research to find the best stuff for the job, that was not too expensive just in case it all went wrong. I need not have worried, two coats and the finish was fantastic having applied it with a roller. I have used it several times since, and its proved to be very good, and top paints over very well. I will buy again for certain

Product good but poorly packaged
The 250ml tin was placed in a corner of a large cardboard box with screwed up brown paper loosely surrounding only three sides. The box arrived crushed on the corner with the tin. On opening the box, the tin wasn't damaged but the lid was slightly open but still in place. A small amount of paint had leaked out making it messy to handle. Probably less than 1% of the paint had leaked but the tin needed a lot of cleaning up.I'm very happy with the primer and it is obviously ok since it had been only been in transport less than 24 hours from me ordering on Prime.

Does a good job.
I have used lots of Rustins paints before and found them to be decent quality. This primer covered my MDF shelves very well allowing the top coat to be applied properly. Usually, without primer, the top coat finish is poor and you find yourself adding two or three extra coats. This product worked very well. Pleased with the outcome.

Great primer
Great primer, I only needed two small cans to repaint my kitchen cabinets and drawers.The primer went on really well on my bare MDF both with brush and roller.I used three to four coats to make sure everything was sealed well and I also used three coats of F&B paint afterwards.Highly recommended!

Does the job really well
I got this primer for a project I was giving an old MDF desk a new lease of life and wanted a good quality primer before painting its final colour,This was absolutely perfect for that job, the primer is a nice colour, using a roller (big desk) i used this to cover both sides and im going to say the finish was perfect, the primer went on really well and dried really fast in fact I was able to complete my whole project in one day. One can does go along way in fact I had a little left over which I intend to use for another project (will need to order another of course)The primer was very easy to clean off the roller and the brush I used for the edge, its been months since I completed the project and the primer has been perfect, in fact I left the underneath in the great as it looked really good and with the led lights it reflects it better.Over all perfect a great product and brand happy to use them again and recommend
