This timer works well for many things, from timing tea, duration of conditioner in the shower, to yin yoga poses. The design and colours are attractive, looking good on my shelf. It is well made and durable, e.g. made of metal (that protects the glass), with small pads on top and bottom to reducing slipping. Good value for a high quality, useful item.

I guess there are more precise ways to time your tea (like with your phone) but this is adorable and accurate enough on all 3 settings when I verified it with my phone timer. I had Tea Service at a fancy hotel that sells these and really loved the charm of a tea timer on the table. However, I did not want their branded timer because it was close to $70! This met my goals. By the way, I never timed my steeping before and now I realize I wasn't steeping long enough for some and too long for others. I would recommend it!

I bought this little tea timer during COVID lockdown to make our family tea parties more of an occasion. We went to afternoon tea a while back, which had one of these tea timers. Kids loved it, so I wanted to get one for home tea parties since we were stuck at home. The timer is nice and sophisticated looking. It has 3 times: 2 minutes (white sand), 3 minutes (blue sand), and 5 minutes (pink sand). [Yes, I was so bored in lockdown, I actually timed the three times and they are accurate LOL] I like that the sand colors are more pastel-like and not loud and obnoxious. I also love using this timer when I’m winding down at night with a cup of tea. No loud beeping and I can relax in silence. Overall, if you are thinking of getting a tea timer for home, this is a good pick! Great addition to an at-home tea party!

This works well as a timer for the three types of tea. You have to watch it where a battery operated timer would allow you to do other things while waiting for it.

This is an attractive and useful little hourglass timer that I bought for making tea. When it arrived I tested the 2-, 3-, and 5-minute options and found them to be somewhat inaccurate. It bothered me, but I was persuaded by my less-compulsive housemate to live with it. If you can live with the imprecise timing, it is a useful and attractive addition to your tea-making ritual.
