Works great!
I had a clog in the bath tub and purchased one of those short plastic snakes and it didn't do the job. Purchased this snake as a last ditch effort before calling a plumber. It works great. After watching a YouTube video or two (I am a very modest do-it-yourselfer when it comes to drain clogs.) this snake worked perfect grabbing the nasty clog. Not sure on the longevity of the product but the 10-15 dollars I spent for a one time use was well worth it. Saved $$ versus calling a plumber. If you have no idea what your doing watch a video, it really is pretty simple.

This auger snake worked great too clear my clogged pipe.
If you don’t have one of these, you should buy one to keep if you’re drains run slowly. It works great too clear clogs.

Easy to use and works well
This was a huge improvement over my old snake, which lacked a drum. It was much easier to control the snake and a lot easier to keep it from getting gunk all over the floor while I was snaking the drain. The handle on the drum worked very well to rotate the snake, and I was far more successful than in the past in working the snake past the turns in the pipe. Easier to store when done, too. Price was very reasonable.

had more luck with other methods
had a cloth stuck down my bathtub drain. played around with this think 8-10x, and never hooked the cloth. then bought a $3 piece of plastic with hooks at home depot and that did the job. for whatever reason the hook on this never caught the cloth. it likely works well on hair however. also, it is not intuitive how to thread and bring the metal cord back in. does not appear to be shoddily made.

Great quality - Can't get down some drains
Because of the stopper type that is in my bathtub, I can't get it into the drain. And I don't know how to get this stopper out... I've unscrewed it as much as I can but there's still another part there.It's a good quality auger and has a set screw to hold the auger in place. It's also long to reach deep clogs, although I've never had to put it out that far.I will need to get one of those wire snakes, if they still make them; all I see are made of plastic, and I hate plastic stuff!

This thing is TERRIBLE. The cord has no tension in it and you have to literally use your hand to guide it into the toilet's tubing -- if that works -- which it did NOT.Piece of s***. Awful. Waste of Money and hope that my clogged toilet would be unclogged.

Saved $$$$ on a plumber
I've never used one of these before so I have nothing to compare it to but it did the job and got rid of a nasty shower clog. It got a football sized amount of hair out. I'm sure I saved hundreds of dollars not having to use a plumber.

It did not work for the first time use
It arrived on time and looked nice and reasonable size, but it cannot be packed back into the shell which was really frustrating.
