Can you stack two gates on top of each other in a doorway?

you should NEVER stack gates if this is for children. My cousin's son passed away in a tragic accident after getting stuck between stacked gates. It is very dangerous.

Will this work if stairway is glass?

There are rubber stops where its pressure mounted against wall or in this case glass so it should work for it and wont slide.

can it be used outdoors?

I would think so. I use it my puppy and wash it every other day and air dry on my patio. I would be comfortable using it outdoors.
