Love it, just needs to be a couple of fixes
I have several litter boxes to do everyday and this scoop works pretty well. I was using the Jackson Galaxy scoops previously but cant seem to find them anywhere anymore. This scooper works great but needs two fixes. 1) The handle should be at least 2-3 inches longer and 2) the width of the scooper could be at least 2 inches wider. Otherwise I love it.

Yes!
This is a great holder. We have a large metal litter scoop. This holder plus a Litter Genie have been a great upgrade. I hate dealing with litter and these products make it a little less unpleasant. We are much more likely to clean the litter box any time we are walking past.

Don't buy a cheap scooper any more. Get this one.
Inexpensive and way better than those cheap plastic ones.

Good for litters that pancake
I first purchased a scoop/holder/hand broom/pan combo. That litter sifter/scoop was okay, but I had to basically move all the litter from one side to the other in order to thoroughly clean the box. It also broke up litter (urine) that was pancaked at the bottom, so that the broken pieces were too small to be caught by the scoop. That caused the litter box to smell more often than I'd like. That scoop also had holes that were too small for my (wheat) litter. Finally, the handle broke off, and that was that.I ran out and replaced it with a unit from Petsmart. The new scoop had a rounded edge. It was terrible for scraping the bottom of the box. It was more expensive than this scoop. It's probably fine for litter that immediately clumps (like Arm and Hammer), but not so great for litter that's a little slower to respond. I used that scoop twice and was like "this is terrible, I need to try another kind of scoop." It couldn't pick up most of the urine litter at the bottom. (Sorry kitties - i'm sure that was a lot of bad odor for you.)Then I tried this scoop. It's PERFECT for wheat litter. The holes are a little bigger than the first scoop, so I can sift a LOT faster. It doesn't break up the pancakes at the bottom of the box, it covers a wider area than the first scoop, and it has holes in the sides. This allows me to insert the scoop, lift up and hold, dump remains into a bag, and move forward, lift up and hold, etc., - until the litter box is cleaned out. I don't have to make a separate pile of litter in another part of the box anymore. (The first scoop couldn't handle more than ~2" of litter, otherwise it would just jam up and the litter wouldn't fall through.)Finally, this scoop is nice and sturdy, with a handle that's not too long.If it broke, I would happily buy another one. :) My time dealing with the litter box is HALF that of the first scoop, and it picks up more (pancakes) than both scoops.

Not metal
Maybe I didn’t read the description well, but I was under the impression this was a metal scoop. It is definitely not metal, but it seems to be fairly sturdy, hard plastic. It scoops well in the corners, so im fairly satisfied.

Great idea, poor construction
PetFusion's litter scoop is awesome - it's so much easier to push through the litter (I have arthritis in my hands/wrists so this is important) and their non-stick litter pan is also awesome Unfortunately, the scoop holder is not so great and here's why:You're supposed to be able to remove the cap-piece so you can take out and clean the rubber insert, then put it all back together. Well, before even using it, I removed the cap piece - you know making sure I knew how it all worked - and now the cap piece WILL NOT go back on. It is literally impossible to get it to go back on and stay in place. So, okay, maybe I can still use it without the cap piece on it? Well, sort of - the scoop goes in so snuggly (good for cleaning off litter from scoop) that it pushes down the rubber insert and tries to pull it out of the container when you pull the scoop back out to use it. The cap piece is what would keep the insert in place during use. I can't imagine what will happen when I actually have to remove the rubber insert to clean it and put it back in. They should have constructed this like a toaster - with a tray trap in the bottom you could slide out to empty. Then the rubber insert could have been glued in place or the cap-piece could have been made to not be removed. If you needed to clean the rubber bristles, you could then just remove the trap-tray and flush with soap and water. Will I still use it anyway? Yes, but it will make me a little frustrated each time and there's a good chance I'll stop using it if the insert isn't easy to put back in after cleaning it the first time.

Not what I needed
Seemed like a good idea but much to narrow. Will have to get a metal one with scoop.

EH NOT THRILLED
The product does what it's supposed to and it does work. My issue is you have to shake it so much just to get to the point. Understand? The last one i had, i would give a little shake, the unused litter would fall back into the box and the scoop had everything it was supposed to have. This one I have to shake shake shake shake shake for the clean litter to be released. Such a silly thing to be bothered by but had I not experienced the previous one I wouldn't even know to complain about this one. I accidently threw the other one in the garbage and now here we are.

I WANTED to like this ....
I was really excited when I received this scoop, and I was actually very eager to spend the 5 minutes getting dressed in preparation for the -25 wind chill to go out on my apartment balcony where my litter boxes are to try this scoop. When I first looked at this scoop I thought it was amazing. There ARE several things about it that are really great, and really well designed - such as: the front leading edge of the scoop is VERY sharp and pointed and excellently designed for scraping the glued to the bottom of the litter pan clumps of litter that are soaked with pee. This scoop will now be the first one I use to cleanly loosen those stubborn barnacles of pee soaked blobs at the bottom of the litter box - but, sadly, I don't think I'll be using this scoop for much more than that.I also was really impressed with the 'texture' of the scoop. It's got like a clear shiny smooth 'varnish' finish over the plastic on the part of the scoop that will actually contact litter, and I initially thought this thing might not stick to the mushy pee clumps of soaked litter. Sadly, my first use of the scoop dissuaded me of that hope. It is probably significantly easier to clean by just running the scoop under the tap, but non hard poo and pee mush soaked litter still DO stick. It's better than most scoops - but ....This scoop is a nice size, and the scoop shape is good, and the handle is nice, and reasonably comfortable and soft to grip, and I really like the recessed shape your thumb fits into right near the scoop, so you can support the weight of a full large scoop of litter, without lots of strain on your wrist and hand (by getting your thumb very close to the weight of the litter itself) - but the handle is too long for my liking, and the fatal flaw in this scoop is it is slow to sift litter (compared to two of my other fave scoops) because the back part of the scoop doesn't have holes for the litter to fall out (It has lots of plastic there - for strength; and it IS strong and the plastic is very strong - so it won't bend and break like some scoops.)Now this scoop is pretty good, and I understand that many people will really like it, but I've got two other scoops that let the litter fall through more quickly - so this scoop will NOT be the best scoop I've been looking for.And the spacing of the holes in the scoop are larger than my other preferred scoops, so lots of little pieces fall through this scoop.

Great Size....
Such a difference from my first scoop shovel, it locks up loads and the high sides means you can shake vigorously without spilling any,

Efficient, Effective, and Large
From a 6 cat household, this scoop is amazing!I picked this scoop for purchase because of the previous reviews praising the sharp forward edge, and the wide triangular sifting slots. It sounded too good to be true.Upon first use, I knew I made the correct choice. This scoop cleans the clumped wet litter from the bottom of the tray very effectively.Litter sifts through the scoop quickly and collects all the solids in fewer passes and with less shaking. The total length of the scoop could be an issue for small high walled litter boxes. It is a large unit, end to end. This size concern is still not enough for me to give this anything less than a 5 star review.
