I used these gaiters for hiking Mt. Fuji. It was necessary to have gaiters on to keep all the lava rocks and rubble out of my boots while descending. They were true to size, although don’t forget to give room for thicker pants if you’re needing cold weather gear. They were good quality and kept debris out of my pants/boots. They were also great for keeping water out of them too. The rubber straps that go under your boot to hold in place seems a little cheap, and I thought they would wear off or break after hiking with them, but surprisingly they held up and no wear at all on them. I look forward to many more challenging hikes using these gaiters. They were easy to put on and easy to get off. They have a cinch too so you can tighten if needed. Mine were snug so I didn’t need to use the cinch at the top. I would recommend and purchase again if I ever need another pair.

These gaiters have served me well on my snow hikes. They were easy to put on, they protected my ankle form getting snow inside of my shoes, and were easy to take off and put away in the storage bag it came with. They are good quality gaiters and I am happy with my purchase.

I received these several months ago and was curious how the zippers would hold up rather than the standard velcro on other gaiters. They did great for several intense snowshoeing sessions, but I did have one zipper recently break. I sent Hikenture support a message letting them know about my issue, they asked me to send pictures, then proceeded to send me a brand new pair of gaiters without requesting I send the old ones back. Fantastic service, I love companies that will stand behind their products. The new pair I just received, and have used already, feel higher quality than the first ones. Keep up the good work Hikenture.

I used these for snowmobiling and snowshoeing this winter, and hiking through wet foliage in the spring and summer. They are lightweight, durable, and stay snug on you foot and lower leg. They fit on my hiking boots and my bigger insulated boots. I like them more than my $95 outdoor research pair!

Wish I'd read more of the 1-star reviews before purchasing.... Many instances of the same problem (so you can probably expect it too): the zipper on these breaks, like, right away, if even the slightest bit stressed. Our zipper's bottom tooth ripped out, causing the zipper to pull right open by itself, rendering the gaiter useless. I'd bought 2 pair to go ice climbing in Alaska with. 1 pair (the large size) worked fine for me. The second pair (med size for my daughter) busted during its first -- and only -- outing, which unfortunately happened to fall outside Amazon's return window, so now I'm stuck with one useless pair. It didn't break when she put it on, but it probably broke as she rubbed one foot against the other leg while walking and/or kicked it with her crampon. Would recommend you either spend a bit more and get a pair with a better quality zipper (i personally don't think velcro fares all that much better, long term), and/or buy the bigger size -- esp. if you'll be putting them on over larger/bulkier footwear (e.g. plastic mountaineering boots/crampons or ski boots).

These gaiters are great! I work in the snow, trudging thru deep snow every day, they keep me dry. They are very well made, and with top notch materials. The zipper is very durable and strong. The fit is true to size chart. They look great on. I was quite pleased when I received them. I thought for the price, they would be cheaply made...to my surprise, they are far from that. I recommend them to anyone who works in the snow!Susan

Worked pretty well in the snow. They fit great and aren’t bulky. My only issues with these are the zipper quality and the elastic draw cord on the top. The zipper feels cheap. At the top, I wish they had nylon webbing with a buckle that would go over the zipper to keep it zipped up. They way they are now, you tighten the elastic cord and it’s trying to pull the zipper apart the whole time you are wearing them. It just seems like it might cause it to unzip during a hike, although they did stay zipped up for me. They only other thing is I wish that the upper material was waterproof and not just water resistant.

Needed some gaiters to keep the snow out of my boots while hiking through deep snow and snowshoeing. These did the trick. Recently spent two days in knee deep snow and these kept all the snow out of my boots, kept my feet dry and my legs warm.Gaiters are pretty simple, but these gaiters have some nice features that add to their functionality. There is a clip on the front that attaches to your laces to keep the gaiters tight to your boot in front. And the strap that goes around the bottom of your boot keeps the gaiter snug all the way around. The full zipper makes putting them on and taking them off super easy. And the drawstring at the top of the gaiters make it so the gaiters are tight and keep the snow from coming in from the top. The material sheds the snow, and I would think would shed water pretty well too.Overall super happy with these gaiters. I’ll be using these for all my winter excursions!
