Very versatile combo clamp.
This is a pretty unique clamp. It’s a combination of a C clamp and a vice grip. When I first used it I didn’t recognize the adjustment at the base of the handle that allows it to work like a vice grip to adjust in smaller increments. After that I was pretty impressed. The clamp itself seems to be very well-made. The clamp has two major ways of adjusting. One is to adjust by 1 inch increments using the detent. The other is by fine-tuning with the screw at the base of the handle that adjust in smaller increments. And it does actually open to 10 inches. One downside is that the clamp heads are a bit small. If you clamp into softer wood you may leave a depression in the wood. Trust me. I would definitely add a block of wood as an additional layer if working on softer wood. If the manufacturer had attached some sort of silicone covering to the heads that may have solved the problem. The other problem is that when the clamp is expanded to larger sizes, the heads don’t match up. The wider you open the clamp the more the offset becomes. I have found that to be a problem a couple of times. All in all this is a very good clamp and I see myself using it quite a bit.

EXCELLENT TOOL for CLAMPING in TIGHT SPACES
Over the years I have worked with more clamping tools than I can remember and have often had to improvise due to the clamps I had on hand not being able to fit into the space allowed. That is where I have found this tool really shines. The design of this C style clamp is really brilliant. The padded clamping ends are small and highly adjustable so they can be slid into tight areas. Then tension is adjusted and pressure increased using the gears located with the hand grips. As soon as I used it the first time I thought, “wow, I could have used this about a thousand times over the years!”The tool itself is very well made and based on my repeatedly using it over the last 4 months and having nothing but incredible experiences from it, I can safely say it it made to last. This is very solidly constructed - made of Vanadium steel which requires very little care and hold up great. While I was not familiar with this name brand prior to testing this product, I am so thoroughly impressed by this clamp I will be checking out other products by Monster & Master. This is an all around outstanding tool that I definitely recommend for any handyman, wood worker or DIYer.

Heavy duty, multi use
My husband is a clamp junkie and likes to use them all over the house. We tend to have them lost and left laying around, or borrowed never to be seen again. Often he finds they are short lived and so he is always on the hunt for a better clamp.I ordered this expecting a stop gap until we could replace his more expensive set of clamps that have been vacationing with the neighbors. We were both surprised by the quality. It is heavy weight and definitely has a quality feel. It serves as both C clamp and vise grip and does both well. I am able to use and release it without difficulty (some I have to have the hubby help). It holds securely and doesn't drop what we're working on. We have used it to install doors, build bed frames and shelves, among other things. We did use scrap wood between the clamp and the project, but for us that is normal use.

🛠 A Great Alternative For A C-Clamp - 😊👍
Women love their shoes and men love their tools, cars, motorcycles and guns. I admit I have lots of clamps (probably more than I will ever use), but when I seen this new one from Monster & Master, I was intrigued with the innovative concept. This is a modified locking pliers (okay I know - Vise Grip). I have others similar, but nothing quite like this one. This locking plier has the normal 1" locking range while the adjustable jaw has 4 notches that allow it to open in increments up to 6". The Chrome Vanadium finish on the pliers I received is perfectly done and should provide for rust protection for many years to come. The screw is smooth and the clamping action also. The moving of the adjustable jaw takes a bit of getting used to. The pads provide a 1" x 1" clamping surface. If using on wood (I wouldn't) I recommend using a wood scrap underneath it. This is going beside my drill press to be used for clamping pieces down for drilling/boring/sanding (yes I use a sanding drums on it). I have several clamps there for whatever project I'm currently working on. Depending on your needs, this may or may not come in handy. If you weld or have a drill press, I can definitely see a use for these locking pliers. I have other Monster & Master tools I have reviewed and have not been disappointed yet. These pliers are no exception either. I think they are a better quality than HF tools, but just my opinion. I give them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.I hope this proves somewhat helpful. Thanks for Reading - ✌😉

Might not be as effective as specific single-use clamps, but is more versatile with 4 ways to use.
I am not a clamp expert, I just thought that having one might come in handy, and this one seems well-made, sturdy and durable. I like that there are multiple points of adjustment, making it a versatile clamp, but I do wish a little insert explaining how to use it had been included because it seems relatively intuitive or at least not hard to figure out, but then I became confused when opening it up and seeing that the "top" and "bottom" were not parallel so they did not grip as effectively. I thought perhaps I was not using it correctly, but after coming back to the listing and reading some of the reviews, I realized that is actually how it is. I do not foresee that being a problem for me personally because I think I will probably not be clamping anything that causes the clamp to need to be opened that wide, but it is something to consider.Monster & Master 10” C- clamp 4-Point Locking Plier with Swivel Pads,4 Ways to Use, ATHUS-MM-S10
