Calico Fabric: frayed alot at the cut edges! This I found quite unusual --- I have used different types of calico fabrics in the past and never experience fabric unravel so quickly after cutting!!

To make some throws

I always keep an amount of natural calico at home for uses such as backing decorative fabrics for bed covers and as fixed panels for the lower half of large Victorian windows, which I pre-shrink before use to avoid annoying error later. My 5 metres arrived the day following ordering and although I never mind a few loom flaws this length has not even one, such is the quality. Added to this, the thickness seems slightly more than medium which pleases me even more.
